This is Kiwi, our Jardine's parrot. Her flight feathers have not been clipped in over three months I think, so every once in awhile she takes it upon herself to fly from point A to point B in the living room. Today, she landed in a planter of ferns

Kiwi is small parrot a "jardine's" parrot one of the smaller breeds from the Amazon region in South America. She really is my pal. We also have an African Grey parrot, who is bigger than Kiwi. He is starting to talk and whistle more, and says things to the dogs like "go outside"? and "shutup Libby"
Two more days, until our new President takes the oath of office. I am thinking about calling in sick for part of the day, so I see all of the important things live on TV.
Have a good week

You make me feel like keeping a parrot as pet, too.
Wish you a great week ahead!
