PE Conference
Friday, 21. November 2008, 18:52:52
Today and some of my teaching collegues attended the Illinois Association of Physical Education Health and Dance at the beautiful Pheasant Run Resort in St.Charles, Illinois

10 minutes from where I live. The day started out with coffee, while three of us planned on which sessions we would attend, and what vendors we might shop at. Friday, the vendors put lots of good stuff on sale, before they break down the exhibits at 1:00

I attended a good session on including special needs kids into general physical education class, and a research project from an undergraduate student from Illinois State University on his experience working with a child with autism during his student teacher. He did a great job. Next I found myself trying to find any session that did not have standing room only

The popular sessions are always well attended. All in all it was a good conference. I bought my traditional book from the publisher Human Kinetics and off I went

Hello :-)
I tried to put a message into your other place for messages(where I wrote the Table Prayer for you), but it dont looks like you`ve received it, I try here :-))
I was so happy to read about your father and his happiness for the Table Prayer :-))
And I was wondering if you maybe need help about your Norwegian roots?
I love genalogy, and would be very happy to help!
Best wishes from Mariann in Norway.

I could always use help with finding Norwegian roots, so this is what I know at this point. Last name: Fredricksen
(gosh I think with a "k") The folks actually born in Norway, I think are: Tony and Leena, but I will double check with my Dad. Another relative is my uncle, who married my aunt (my mother's sister) His last name is:
Gulbrandsen (I can find out which of his relatives were born in Norway)
Thanks for the help and God Bless
Carol

I found out from my Dad that the correct spelling is this: Fredriksen (no letter c) and that Tony and Leena were born in Norway in a town, now known as Oslo
God bless,
Carol, Jeff, Dean and the rest of the Norsks!
