I doubt it. If Opera gains revenue from each Yahoo search there'd be no point putting Google back in when people can just bookmark it and keep the bookmark on the front page.

You may be on the right track though. A lot of people have been asking for the ability to customize the services searchable by the secondary search bar.

Google is probably not coming to opera mini. Opera signed an exclusive mobile search deal with yahoo in january:
