First of all we would, again, like to thank all of you who helped us beta testing Opera Mini 4.1. You provided us with a lot of good feedback, and we are now ready to give you the full 4.1 version!

There are no big differences from the beta, but there are a lot of things that have happened behind the surface:

We have fixed a lot of bugs
Minor changes to saving pages
Several adjustments to auto-complete address input and upload/download
BlackBerry devices with old firmware now get Opera Mini 4.1 without JSR-75.

We all hope you enjoy the final version of Opera Mini 4.1!

Nothing's wrong with having a saved page section on the homepage. I just think something's wrong with not having it in the menu too, like they did in the beta,

I can't understand why Opera removed it though, I doubt if it was because the saved pages could be accessed from the homepage. Bookmarks, history, and the "enter address option" are also accessible from the homepage, as well as the menu. It would be pretty ridiculous if you had to go to the homepage everytime you wanted to enter an address, even if it'd take the same number of steps(Menu>Enter Address compared to Homepage>Enter Address).

Congratulations for opera mini, it's a amazing application and it is indispensable in any mobile. My wish is integrate instant messaging in opera mini, so we could stay connected to our favorites net, googletalk, msn messenger, aol, jabber. The architecture should be similar, with a server processing of differents protocols, and show IM notifications in opera mini while we surfing the web!

Again, congratulations for opera mini!

I've got 2 mobile phones, nokia 6120c (symbian 9.2) and SE k770i (netfront 3.3). I use om v3.1 on the former with Skin Options, and v4.1 for the latter for a relatively faster browsing. I still wish the 'failed to connect to the web' problem be remedied for more convenience.. Thanks.

I consider the modified submenu as a BUG in opera 4.1 final ...
No matter your mobile N80 or even 3100( lol ) ,the problem does exist.

Ok but let me hope full support of "java "scripted"" website and easier saving of images.
I found images in Obml of good quality but just divided and I collected them and made full images manually without download or even the obml jpg extractor "jfif" ;-) .
Why opera insist to > download image instead of > save image directly?

As always excelent work! I think only one feature (apart from tab browsing

) is in order.

I often update my bookmarks (I edit one and write instead one it a new adress), however opera does not recive new name for it (when i connect to internet/go to this bookmark.

It would be cool if you could include this in future relises.

I've still got the beta installed, and in it, I get the "saved pages" option in the tools sub-menu, from which I get a list of all the pages I've saved. This option's gone in the final 4.1, I've got the save page option that lets me save the current webpage, not the saved pages list thing.
many many options available in this final version........

when I browsing friendster with operamini 4.1 (my phone is sony ericsson K320i), the display has changed.. I can't leave comment for my friends, can't read his/her profile, and etc. why??

i hope you can fix this problem.

Yeah that suck.. opera mini 4.1 basic.. (wtf no difrent with 4.0!) no jar file no save as button..

I tried to install it on my nokia 6600 but it doesn't get installed. Normally all apps i download confirm that "Installation complete" after the download but 4.1 doesn't. I thought of deleting version 4.0 in case 4.1 installs successfully after that but nope.

At opera software they recommend version that I download 4.1 but it doesn't work. They again tell me that testing shows that my phone is compatible with 4.0 but don't see the link where i can download it. Anyone knows a link? I tried wap.getjar.com but version 4.0 from that site crashes a lot. I miss my version 4 due to my curiosity. Any help plz?

I am using opera mini 4.1 n0w.. But i thnk opera mini m0d for 6600 is the best because i can save pages.. Opera mini 4.1 in my 6600 cant save pages.. Huhu.. The 4.1 version still has some bugs.
After working okay for a few days after initial downloading, it starts re installing itself a fresh every time you load it. In the process it losses all the saved pages, and hangs when you try to delete a bookmark. I've gone back to using 4.0 now!
Could the problem be compatibility? Am using a SE K750i.
And is the team able to introduce a shortcut for saving pages?

With 4.1 I have the same problem as visavwa, but using K810i. (I am using the Afrikaans localised version.) Recently it 'installs' each time I run it. Fortunately I set up synchronization so I could get bookmarks etc back.
Now I try to keep it running all the time, since the K810i does multitasking well. This brings me to differ from requests to add more functionality such as chatting. I prefer to have seperate apps and switch (even copy and paste) between them. I sometimes have all of the following open: opera mini, gmail, mxit, notepad, mc2, scrabble :-)

You will probably have to contact Orkut and ask them to stop redirecting Opera Mini to the mobile site.

where are the free java phone games, like 3D Alpha Zone, Or Gradius~Neo onThese web Pages. We can only praise the silent release for so long, Now Lets Get Some. . . Games.

I have the same problem on both my K800 and K750. Opera mini 4.1 shows the Installing page every time I start it up. I also have to synchronise to get my bookmarks back. Restarting the phone does not solve it nor does deleting and reinstalling. Had accessed my phone and card memories and deleted any opera mini file could see in the System folder then reinstalled it. Only managed to get 3 proper program exits and loads before the Installing screen displayed again. If it's any help, problem began earlier in the K750 and all other apps and games work well.
Love the app. Hope it can be fixed soon.

I am also having problems in version: opera-mini-4.1.11355-advanced-br.jar, it is installed on a Sony Ericsson W580I, striking the first page he visits .. by clicking a link ready hangs around more and not only left the shutdown of the apparatus or removal of the battery!

Summarizing the first page it can now open the second after clicking on something that is no longer opens a BUG?

I really love opera!! from my Series S30 phone to my S60!! it all has opera mini and operA(only the S60 for the opera)! i love it very much!! i can browse, but not upload!! hehe!! nokia 6600 cant upload now!! but still!! i'll wait till that version launch!!

is there anyone can help me...

I use opera mini 4.1.11355 on LG KU250. why i can't use 'save page', download, or upload file? i search on internet, this phone support JSR-75, as opera mini says that mobile phone which support this JSR can use that feature. can anyone tell me what is wrong, my mobile phone, opera mini issues, or LG KU250 disability?

Hi everyone, am new on here. I use Nokia N95-4 8GB NAM Ver., with Opera 3.10. It does browse & is cool and all that. The major problem is that it doesn't download files of any size at all. Gives some java error mumbo-jumbo & crap. Dunno what 2 do. Can anybody help, 'cuz downloading is what I need this majorly for? And am stuck with Opera anyway, as my phone's WAP browser has stopped working anyway (gives me 'connection timeout').

I'm useing a samsung e900 and i cannot for the life of me get opera 4.2 to install. I downloaded the two files to the phone,when't into applications,games,opera and start. It starts installing then tel's me to use to p.c. browser to get the right internet setting's:( I've checked and double checked the setting's and there is nothing wrong that i can see. My Vodaphone web page will load but nothing else. I use PAYT WAP1.

Before , I can upload pictures on my blog using mobile view (sony ericsson w880i), easy. Now, it does'nt works anymore, I have to change settings to full view to upload pix., it's good but I prepare mobile views, it's much easier. Can you bring it back?

To priepo, Go to settings, set to full view, landscape mode, for adding fotos to your blog, click add picture/files, wait to upload and connecting to finished, then, click add picture to your post. Better to click preview first before save.
