In answer to both - http://mini.opera.com :D.

How come landscape mode had to be disabled in the 5800? Something to do with the accelerometer performing the task anyway?

ManneS 10. December 2008, 14:55

Furie: Yes.

Furie 10. December 2008, 16:18

Thought that as I was typing. I thought you guys may have disabled that application from going landscape at all when I started the comment. Homer: Doh!

This release is great, seems to run much faster than the previous one. Two thumbs up to the developers.
Next release please make sure to add copy/paste capability at least on the address field. That would be a major improvement to this great appliction :hat:

jodyhollar 21. December 2008, 18:57

finally....(not this update...) I can use 0mini on my Samsung Instinct

majinkenZERO 27. December 2008, 07:51

This app of course is a superb app and it'll be even better when mainstream phones become flash compatible. Other than that Opera mini works great on my nokia 5310. Also with the next mini major release i hope the team incorporates tabbed browsing

Shizi 27. December 2008, 11:37

Furie 27. December 2008, 14:07

Jademan 3. January 2009, 18:57

I can't post pictures to ebay!!! =((

zzzzznair 4. January 2009, 02:27

Hi everyone,

i own nokia 5320. . .
4.2 works exceptionally well. .

The only problem is as the amount of saved pages increases, opera mini trims them.and the pages disappear from the saved pages menu.. .

even though you can still see them in file manager of the phone.

It also happened with 4.1 . . .

May be there is a limit to the saved pages in nokia, for one my friends who owns the sonyericsson, p1i, does not face such problem . . .

Previously i owned the nokia e61i, in that phone too i had the same problem. . . .

Any way opera is a suburb browser,no doubt about it.
Thanks to those at opera. .

dmilojevic 4. January 2009, 10:55

Dear Opera staff,

First of all, Happy holidays!
Second, Bravo and a big THANK YOU for all your effort
.
I am Opera browser(s) user since the year 2001, and this is (I think) my first time writting something on your community pages.

I have a question regarding Opera mini, but before that, I need once more to express my gratitude for your generosity of sharing with us the amount of functionality and quality in every release of your wonderful browser (desktop, mini, mobile).

I have BlackBerry 8820 (OS ver. 4.2.2.184) with Opera Mini 4.2 on it. Opera has this Wi-Fi checkbox in settings dialog for some time now, but it does not allow my BB to work with wireless connection. I read a bit about Wi-Fi and Opera on BB in forums, but I couldn't find a solution yet.
Is it possible to use Opera on BB with Wi-Fi connection?

Best regards,
--
Dejan

I have opera mini. Its good browsing for nokia n70

thesh666 22. January 2009, 11:22

how to download this ???

Furie 22. January 2009, 11:48

dupel 25. January 2009, 14:38

Still quite a lot of bugs in 5800. Half the time simple tap on bottom or top bars just crashes opera without saving histiry or anything. Sometimes even simple tap on screen (mostly with open opera mini menu) does the same. Also no chance of hiding said bars to view pages full screen.

Furie 26. January 2009, 15:44

You might want to grab the latest firmware update. It improves the way java apps work.

Ronyn 27. January 2009, 01:16

I encountered a problem! Suddenly my Opera 4.2 bookmarked web adresses disappared living nothing for me, the start page icon with their names like Facebook, Live Scores, CNN, BBC, Downloads,Opera community etc all disappared. I need them back, how can i get all of them back? They are important i need them all back to my start page.
However, thanks to Opera mini, thanks to it developers; more of it all, thanks to OPERA as a whole!

Thanks. Haven't checked if v11 fixed it, but v20 definetly fixes it. No crashes at all. Though it still would be nice to get some more optimization for touch devices (larger buttons, dissapearing and apearing scroll bars (just like default browser), ability to hide both bars, to view page in really fullscreen). But thats more for next version, I think =)

Thanks!
