Server Upgrade to 4.13.756

Today, the Opera Mini servers have been upgraded to 4.13.756. The changes in this release include

better support for delayed JavaScript events (eg. dynamic menus)
improved site compatibility
fixed issues related to phone number detection in websites
enhancements regarding form submission and handling of forms in general
handling of images showing maps
better handling of file downloads
improved support for mapping sites
fixed an issue with internal 'go to top' links

A note for web developers: we updated the Opera version number in the
UA string to 9.8.

There is no need to do any changes to benefit from this update since improvements of the servers affect all Mini users automatically.

Opera Mini 5 beta is now availableServer Upgrade to 4.14.938

I was enjoying using the NEW Yahoo! homepage and Mail on my phone using Opera Mini 4.2 until today, wasn't sure what was going on until now. Seems like this server upgrade 'broke' something that prevents me seeing the new Yahoo! as now i just get directed back to the old one and receive a message saying that I need to install Opera Mini if I want to use the new Yahoo and yet I am on Opera Mini already! Anyone else having this issue?

@ nvbrit: Yahoo!'s browser sniffing is broken so that every time there are new browser updates, it'll do things like keep you from the new Yahoo! whatever until Yahoo! updates their browser sniffing scripts to account for the browser updates.

All Opera will be able to do is just yell at Yahoo! to fix things, but it'll be up to Yahoo! to actually do anything. Yahoo! could avoid problems like sniffing for a browser's rendering engine instead of browser names.

Like if Yahoo! detects a certain version of Presto, it'll automatically work for all Opera versions on various devices that use that version of Presto.

Also, Opera Mini 4.2 is working terribly right now for some reason.
Super slow connect and load times plus timing out.
All other browsers working well, seems like an opera server issue.

If you've got a Rant, contact Samsung to complain about java applications and they'll boost the java runtime in a future firmware update.

If you don't know if your phone can have these things or not, give it a try. Download and you may be pleasantly surprised.

In-line typing really sucks sometimes, in Mini 5. I'm typing this comment using it, and the lack of T9 support makes it hard to type. Should have a shortcut to disable in-line editing for big input fields.

This is a server update so you don't need to download anything. Also, you can't manually edit the proxy on Opera Mini.

I have upgraded to mini 5 beta 2 and it does not work! While logging in to any site password goes in no problem but cannot input password because instead of the on screen keypad I get a single box that says Done.
