Server Upgrade to 4.14.938

Yesterday afternoon the Opera Mini servers were upgraded to version 4.14.938. The main improvements are
  • many site specific fixes
  • image download page now supports CSS background images
  • adjusted JavaScript timeouts (improved user experience on some pages)

Since a server upgrade automatically benefits all users no manual change is required. If you have questions or feedback please post to the Opera Mini Forum.

Server Upgrade to 4.13.756Opera Mini 5 beta 2 is ready for download!

LOL, somebody needs a user's manual to use Opera Mini.

I thing opera should embed a special page as a 'User's Manual' on next release, rather than just a shortcut guide.

Cois 18. November 2009, 07:21

@selerus he means when there's a lot of images on one page then only one or two display while the rest doesn't.
Opening only pics shows a empty white image.
This usually happens to me when checking out pics that are large and there's alot of them.

Once a phone starts running out of memory, the first thing is that not all images are shown. hth

selurus 18. November 2009, 10:08

@cois Homer: Doh! I thought he was not getting any images at all.
@gsenarcl I get pages without the images loading sometimes too. But I generally have a lot of ram free. I'll keep a watch on the ram when this happens again in the future.

Opera mini 5 seem to create a lots of problem. When opening the software it then closes immediately. I wonder why

Opera Mini used to be the *perfect* app to use with the Netvibes mobile website. This update really makes it unusable..

The website is WAP oriented, so it should be opened in "mobile view" automatically, and not require side-to-side scrolling to read content. Now it's impossible to do that, the text doesn't fit the screen and reading the content requires constant sideways scrolling.

I hope they look into this soon, this effects both 4.2 and the 5.0 beta. You can visit the site by going to m.netvibes.com using mini.

Thanks for the hint, I'll have a look.

I´m on m.netvibes´ board with Qasibr. Surfing m.netvibes with the updated OM is quite difficult.
