JavaScript and AJAX support in Opera Mini 4

Over at Dev.Opera, Chris Mills, our Developer Relationship Manager at Opera, wrote about the extent of JavaScript support in Opera Mini 4. With the explosive use of AJAX on the Web, it’s an important guide for all Web developers to read.

While you’re at it, also take a look at another article on Dev.Opera, this one written by David Storey, Opera’s Chief Web Opener. The article, entitled "Evolving the Internet on your phone: Designing web sites with Opera Mini 4 in mind", gives an overview of how to optimize sites to be more usable in Opera Mini 4.

I have been using the Opera Mini 4 on my Palm Treo 700p for about a week. I have not been able to use the zoom function, 5 key, nor the landscape versus portrait switch, using the * # keys, to work. Any ideas?
