Prepare for a new dimension in Opera Mini

The Opera Mini team has been hard at work for quite some time now on the next major version of Mini. We're proud and excited that people who have had a chance to test early versions call this new generation another breakthrough in mobile web browsing.

There is a page on operamini.com where you can sign up to recieve an alert when the beta is ready.

In conjunction to the JavaOne conference, Opera and Sun have also released some statements and statistics about the ongoing Opera Mini revolution:

With more than 15 million cumulative users, Opera Mini is the most popular downloadable Java software for mobile phones.

Now, feel free to start wild speculation.

Hey, short question...

many people only have an unlimited data plan on thier blackberry for connections over the BlackBerry APN (BIS)... is it intended to implement a support for connections over the BIS-Connection in future?

Greets Timo

raskal 19. June 2007, 14:32

Yes, Blackberry BIS please.

I have a blackberry pearl with the BIS enabled. Opera does not work with that. Yahoo Go! does.

I have been looking for this feature from OM 3.

Another great post!

Hi,

Opera rules but it should handle the connection over BlackBerry BIS cause tcp cost.

Thx
