theoddbod Friday, January 29, 2010 5:38:09 PM

Is this why my feeds are suddenly messed up and not showing anything other than their titles?

agappe Friday, January 29, 2010 6:36:53 PM

Waiting for next version Mini 5 is cool

Delasi WilliamsSaintangelose Friday, January 29, 2010 6:38:29 PM

My feeds are messed up too! Shd I be worried or just get used to it?

rosins Friday, January 29, 2010 6:46:56 PM

Question: What version of Presto are the servers using?

Genesispao9195 Friday, January 29, 2010 8:33:55 PM

So heres the reason why the password manager is not working. How long it takes to resume the password manager function?

Okra Friday, January 29, 2010 8:34:06 PM

The user agent HTTP header says Presto/2.2.0

Not cool. Feeds messed up. bigsmile

superpantdelux Saturday, January 30, 2010 1:14:25 AM

I also have to add that the feed preview page as well as the feeds themselves are now far from useable.
Related to genesis's comment, i would think that for security reasons, the passwords would be stored on the phone, not the opera server. That being the case, 'disabling' password manager shouldn't be possible... I know i didn't write the program but just a thought.

theoddbod Saturday, January 30, 2010 2:32:43 AM

The feeds work if Mini isn't in Mobile view...but personally I almost never turn Mobile view off as it's much superior for reading most things.

theoddbod Saturday, January 30, 2010 2:34:11 AM

No obvious improvement in page reloads...and some new freaky behaviour.

Praneil Saturday, January 30, 2010 4:08:47 AM

Now feeds page open faster than before..
But i was expecting om5b release for small screen resolutions..

Raafi alghifaribetexxx Saturday, January 30, 2010 4:36:50 AM

Omg !!! 2fast

Bad WolfCois Saturday, January 30, 2010 11:11:14 AM

Sucks. Don't automatically go to last feed comments. And no I'm not turning mobile view off.
Can we get back and degrade the upgrade please? lol

Don't add... I'm gonethexcc Saturday, January 30, 2010 12:18:47 PM

Can you make something like: opera mini 6?.... Please?

JusticeDeJust Saturday, January 30, 2010 1:04:50 PM

My OM 5 is buggy. Always crushing, so I deleted it n still use my super reliable OM 4.2.

rghammon Saturday, January 30, 2010 2:50:57 PM

Feeds = broken

Charles SchlossChas4 Saturday, January 30, 2010 7:10:55 PM

up

Don't add... I'm gonethexcc Saturday, January 30, 2010 8:08:27 PM

Why did i download it?.... I need the FEEDS

blegs38552 Saturday, January 30, 2010 8:18:45 PM

I am not impressed by the current beta either. Freezes up and cannot be closed down without restarting my phone, lock ups...etc. The previous version was much more stable (yes, I know this is a beta, but even 5.1 was better than 5.2. I am on a Sprint Motorola RAZR VE20. I know this is not on the supported phone listing, but version 4.xx always worked fine (as did 5.1). Probably going to revert back - too bad, there are many nice features on this new version, but it is too unstable to suit me.

Thanks for reporting this, it will be investigated.

Valgrind Saturday, January 30, 2010 9:57:11 PM

As a workaround you can switch of mobile view and get usable feeds.

Justin DegniEbessa Saturday, January 30, 2010 10:23:27 PM

Ok I understand now! Thanks. Hope things will be ok soon!

MisterNobody Sunday, January 31, 2010 7:31:38 AM

There are many new "clicking just reloads page" problems.
Tested on k790i OM4.2, but sometimes help "1"'s menu->open link.

Could you please name a few sites where the new problems occur?

Genesispao9195 Sunday, January 31, 2010 2:23:11 PM

when the password manager resume?

z@h3kZAHEK Sunday, January 31, 2010 9:52:12 PM

yes

João Davidpiroxicam Monday, February 1, 2010 2:05:55 AM

@Gerald Senarclens de Grancy:
for example www.egotastic.com
but be careful. This site is a litle bit NSFW...
When I click the images, several times I get a page reload instead of opening
the images. If you need, I can give
you more site examples where this
happens.

Argh, that old nasty bug is back cry eg when I'm reading Google News. And sometimes wrong link, which leads to the previous or following news.

dragn3t Monday, February 1, 2010 5:26:13 PM

Logging in to yahoo wap messenger using this http://m.yahoo.com/w/bp-messenger/messenger?c=mJ3Uxccda5N&r=946580505&.tsrc=&.refer=&.intl=us&.lang=en has stopped working.
. . . . Also finding it hard to log in to my account on some sites too. . . & the clicking reloads page problem is still very much rampant

theoddbod Monday, February 1, 2010 11:38:22 PM

Try this one :

http://pajamasmedia.com/victordavishanson/our-obama-saga-part-one—chapters-one-to-four/

Try as I might, I cannot get to Page 2 with Mini. It either reloads page 1, or goes to the base .com address. This happens a lot with articles on that site, and I've reported at least two bugs for it.

theoddbod Monday, February 1, 2010 11:38:58 PM

And this happened both before and after the server update.

boy-babyluv Tuesday, February 2, 2010 10:54:39 AM

I hope opera mini 5 can download jar file

techlawsam Wednesday, February 3, 2010 12:07:02 AM

I would guess so if you would base predictions off of the time frame between the releases. In fact, we might see one tomorrow.

Why is my comment was deleted?

ikoikoymail Wednesday, February 3, 2010 10:38:03 AM

Thx.. Opera Mini Team.. the best team in the world browsers team.. Youre the best!

Kingsley ChidiadiKswitch63 Wednesday, February 3, 2010 11:13:13 AM

Gerald Senarclens, i may not be a good software developer bt i have some ideas for the beta 3.

Kingsley ChidiadiKswitch63 Wednesday, February 3, 2010 11:17:31 AM

But i hope that the beta 3 will be more stable than the beta 2 and it will also be able to download .jar files maybe in another extension lets say .jar1

Kingsley ChidiadiKswitch63 Wednesday, February 3, 2010 11:19:21 AM

D beta 2 is not stable on all java phones. Its always closing down by itself. I hope 5beta3 will be much more stable just like 4.2 and 2.06

Kingsley ChidiadiKswitch63 Wednesday, February 3, 2010 11:20:01 AM

But anyway u guys are doing a good job kip it up

ikoikoymail Wednesday, February 3, 2010 3:23:22 PM

O Randa BlêgDinz Wednesday, February 3, 2010 6:51:40 PM

Still using OM 4.2 on my SE P990i, better. If OM team could add 'full screen mode' it would be much better than OM 5 beta 2.

JusticeDeJust Thursday, February 4, 2010 4:30:45 AM

So far OM 4.2 works best on my S40 Nokia 6234 but OM5 is crappy n buggy, n it's always crushing. I'm gonna upgr8 very soon I want Android or maybe WinMo, not Symbian or Black Berry.

leobox1 Thursday, February 4, 2010 8:17:19 AM

i really need the P/W manager back asap sad

Emanuel crisologoBimbocool Thursday, February 4, 2010 10:10:02 AM

My mobile is a s40v3 (nokia 3110c) and i'm not enjoying using om5b2 because it always exits without any reason after browsing for some time.
