Touma Comes to the DS

, , , ...

In a bit of crossover news it looks like famous Japanese toy designer Touma has a DS game coming out shortly. Gabu Gabu Planet appears to be an adventure game that looks like it follows in line with games like crash bandicoot. 3D side scroller with lots of fruit to grab and stuff to jump over. But the real gem for me is that the characters in the game all hold a nice Touma styling, sharp chompers and all. Go Nintendo has stated that this release will indeed be coming out in the US, it's just a question of when.

Donate 129.99 to Breast Cancer Research, Get a Free Pink DS Lite.

This piece of tech news really hit home with me. Most of you would never know this, but my sister passed away last year from breast cancer. At 28 years old she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and although the doctors did everything they could to prevent the worst it eventually took her life shortly before her 29th birthday. As there are many great causes to support in the world I feel that breast cancer research is one cause that we all need to support as the cases of this horrible disease are becoming all too common.

This week all Target Stores will be donating 100% of the profits from Pink DS Lite Sales to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Not only that but thay have pledged a minimum donation of $75,000 in the event that they do not recieve more than that. If you were thinking about getting a DS lite then now is a better time than ever as you get both an incredible piece of gaming hardware and the feeling of knowing that your hard earned money will help save lives. Heck, with a deal like this your mom, girlfriend, wife, significant other etc. has no reason whatsoever to complain about you buying a new toy since your purchase may directly affect them.

Nintendo back at the top of their game.

It appears that the more that Nintendo announces new items/technology the more they keep blowing away the tech community. Obviously the Revolution(Nintendo's next gen system, for those gamingly challenged) appears to be technologically advanced and has many amazing features and concepts. But as of recently the Nintendo DS has been making people go ga ga. Obviously the news from our very own Opera about the new browser would suffice as news enough but frankly its the sexy little DS Lite that has my loins a burning(er...something). But seriously, from the pictures I have seen thus far it is definitely much more sleek than the current offering. I also just noticed today that dynamism.com is taking orders for the DS Lite for only 169.99. Nintendo has me seriously pondering purchasing one of these little touch screen monsters as they become more and more functional. Keep your eyes upon Nintendo folks, I have a feeling they have more and more suprises up their sleeves.
