About me

I've been living in Oslo since 1997 and is currently living at Grünerløkka. I am from Trondheim, a city situated in the middle of Norway. I love hanging out with friends, chat and have a beer. I am very interested in music and appreciate concerts and other cultural events. I also play a little bit of guitar, but was a lot more active in the past playing in various bands. My favorite place is my cabin in the outer Oslofjord, an island called Veierland. That's where I find piece of mind. I love the sea and nature out there!

My work

I started in Opera August 2004 as a Product Manager, Standards and Technology. The work comprised work related to Mobile Terminal Requirements and stating compliancy with respect to all the major tier-1 operators and carriers of the world. That includes Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, Telefonica, Cingular, Sprint, to mention a few of them. I am also running Opera's patent advisory group, which is responsible for Opera's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). It's great to work in a company where you really can influence what features and standards support that goes into the Opera Mobile product-lines. I'm a specialist on Web-standards and Opera feature support. I am also member of W3C (MWI DDWG/BPWG & PSIG), OMA and OpenAjax alliance. As of May 2007 I was promoted as Chief Services Strategist where I take part in building up Opera's new Services Solution business unit. I will work less on standards and requirements, but more on features and customer benefits. The focus for the new unit are Community, B2C and B2B Services offerings and the future of Opera's cross-platform Widgets technology.
