If you have friends (I don't) and like drawing stuff (I don't), then you'll probably like Chalk 'n Talk. It's Gamevil's take on Pictionary, with a social twist.
Players will race against the clock to sketch and guess a given word, while earning points that can be spent on customizing brushes and canvases or sending them as gifts to friends. Artwork that users are especially fond of can be submitted to the world gallery to be rated for accolades. By connecting to GAMEVIL Live from the game, players can grow their network of friends to enjoy the experience together, and automated matchmaking presents an endless roster of random and new challengers.
Although it looks quite cutesy, I could actually see this being a lot of fun. That's right, I lied. I do have friends, and I do like drawing. As I can prove from my amazing Peppa Pig. I'm downloading it right now.
Bowling Wizards is a physics-based puzzler with a ten-pin bowling twist. Think Angry Birds meets Kingpin, and you might be on the right track.
Once upon a time in a happy wizard-world, bowling was played and enjoyed by the Bowlons and the Pines. The Bright Lord was the leader and protector of the Bowlons, while the Evil Wiz was the leader and protector of the Pines. They all lived happily together, until the Evil Wiz decided to take over the Wizard world. He cast his spell on the Pines, hypnotized them, captured The Bright Lord and made the Bowlons his slaves!
Alas, a few brave Bowlons along with Bowlaids decide to break free! They declare war! And this is where you, the player and savior of the day, along with the brave Bowlons, take upon the task to restore peace and harmony in wizard-world once more!
Bowling Wizards includes the 5 islands of Airea, Lava, Ruins, Frosty and Magica - and each is divided into levels featuring distinct environments and unique gameplay for each island. In the FREE download, 6 levels of the 1st island, Airea, are available. All the other levels of Airea and Ruins are available through in-app purchases. The islands Lava, Frosty & Magica will be made available for purchase shortly!
In each level on every island, the objective is to knock down all the Pines, and although this sounds like a simple task, it is not! Each of the levels is packed with concealed surprises and magic, and the challenges are daunting! The Pines and the Bowlons have a mind of their own, and every alley is mysterious and misleading, and only by use of intelligent strategy and clever moves will you succeed.
Bowling games are always fun, and Bowling Wizard comes with added twists and tales. Beautiful and mysterious, this game has concealed surprises, magic and daring challenges. Featuring rich visuals, complex and addictive gameplay, it appeals to fans of the sport and casual gamers alike!

Dark Incursion is a side-scrolling hack and slash game with a distinctly retro feel. Featuring Anya, a female lead character with abnormally large breasts, the game combines a steam punk theme with stereoscopic 3D.
Dark Incursion is a side scrolling "Metroidvania" style game with a vivid steam punk art style using eye-popping pixel art combined with the stereoscopic 3D that will literally make the action jump off the screen. It takes place in an alternate reality in the late 1800's, amidst an industrial revolution and a world war. Play as Anya, one of the few who knows about a secret bunker where scientists have been attempting to bioengineer their own soldiers, hoping to turn the tide in war!
In Dark Incursion, players have a multitude of bio-engineered weapons at their disposal with which to eradicate the abominations from the city. Weapon and ability upgrades will get more powerful the deeper players get and the more advanced the monsters become.
It sounds really interesting, and we're looking forward to trying it out. Have a look at the game in action in the video below.
The game can be found in the Market here, and is £1.87.
Back in August, we told you that Sonic CD was heading to Android. It's been a few months, but now it's arrived!
It’s time to usher the past into the future in this enhanced recreation of Sonic CD! Sonic travels to the distant shores of Never Lake for the once-a-year appearance of Little Planet - a mysterious world where past, present, and future collide through the power of the Time Stones that lie hidden within it.
Sonic arrives only to find the once beautiful world imprisoned beneath a twisted metallic shell. His arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman, has come for the Time Stones and with them, will soon have the power to control time itself!
In order to put an end to Dr. Eggman’s nefarious schemes, Sonic must use the power of Little Planet to travel through time; breaking Dr. Eggman’s hold over the future by destroying his machines in the past and recovering the missing Time Stones!
Featuring 16:9 widescreen, achievements, leaderboards and both the US and Japanese soundtracks, experience the adventure through time that introduced the world to Amy Rose and Eggman’s most evil creation, Metal Sonic.
The game will cost you £1.29, and can be found right here. Just be warned - the game has been very popular, and requires a download of further data once the game has been installed from the Market. The demand has annihilated the servers, so this download make take a while. SEGA are aware of the issue, and are on the case!
Today is the day that GTA III is released on the Android Market. As you can see from the video above, the game looks pretty great, but as a result, will only run on a few select devices. The full list can be found in our preview of the game, but it's not that big.
Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition is the complete console experience of the award-winning open world original, enhanced and optimized for touch screen mobile devices with new features including an intuitive, fully scalable and customizable user interface; upgraded textures; greater resolution and draw distance; and new mission replay and autosave features for an all-new experience on mobile devices.
Be warned, as the Market will let you download the game to your device, even though it may not work. I suggest you use the Market's new feature that allows you to filter user reviews by device. By doing so, I can tell that it won't run on my Nexus S (which isn't really surprising).
If you can play it (or want to take the risk), the game can be found right here, and will cost you £3.23 to download.
Every once in a while, a game comes along that really grabs your attention. For me, Grabatron did just that! I'm not sure if it's the cool 1980s styling, or the pretty unique gameplay, but it's got me - I really want to give it a go.
Take control of a UFO with a retractable claw and destroy the puny humans!
Terrorise them anyway you like: Toss them, crush them, abduct them - it's up to you.
Explore a huge and varied environment with hours of action packed gameplay.
* Beautiful HD Graphics * Realistic Physics * Huge world to explore * Find hidden power-ups * Upgrade your ship * Over 30 different missions * Global Hi-scores * Tilt control
Luckily, it's on offer right now, and costs just $1 (£0.64). I think I may just go and pick it up! If you want to do the same, the game can be found right here.
Hot on the heels of Boom Bugs comes another physics-based puzzler. Wolf Toss may have a dubious title, but it looks a lot of fun.
In the free-to-play Wolf Toss game , players shoot the Big Bad Wolf from cannons on his carnivorous quest to get ham and bacon by demolishing the Three Little Pigs-engineered huts, houses and mansions. Wolf Toss combines the addicting gameplay of popular knock-em-down game and the deeper experience of an old-school D-pad platformer’s power ups, collectibles and cheats. The game features moving obstacles, 144 playable levels, large indoor areas, 3 distinct worlds to explore and over 15 different power ups and cheats. Use strategy and power-ups to burn, roll, float, blast and even teleport past rubber walls, moving platforms and spinning propellers to delicious victory. To give players a little boost, the game offers in-app purchase of Cheats found on a carnival-type roulette wheel that give the Big Bad Wolf supreme advantage over his porky nemeses.
It's a free game, with optional in-app purchasing, if you want to get an advantage over those pesky pigs. We'll look to review it soon, but if you try it out in the meantime, let us know what you think!
