OzMargot's Chronicle

... From Switzerland To Western Australia To ...

The Circle Is Now Complete

, , ,

I have already been bloging on this effect that Australia has on me, ie to bring back old and forgotten passions, hobbies or thought-to-be-forever-buried-dagy-songs-from-the-80's. It would not be a surpise for you providing you live in the beautiful country of kangaroos to hear Electric Light Orchestra on the radio, but it definitely was for me ! But this not about ELO, it is about the circle being closed : tomorrow I will be heading for Perth and the Stanbridges Hobby Shop to buy a plastic model of a plane. And also all the tools, paint, brushes plus other very important equipment. I was a fanatical plastic modeller in my childhood and teenage years. It lead me to a brilliant but unnoticed career in the Swiss Air Force reaching the envious rank of private, serving on planes such as the Hawker Hunter and Mirage III RS. The last time I did some plastic modelling was in 1992-1993 : No Internet at the time ! So, once again, like a little child, I am discovering the amazing on-line resources for enthusiasts, whom seem to be pretty keen to share their experiences on the
web. One might wonder if they have any social, family, affective life ! For a very long time I used to say that I would resume aircraft kits when I would retire. Now the time has come, the circle is now complete without even having to be retired.

Hitting a child, his own son, furthermore, for him to take models of aircraft. It is defended.

Looking a your blog with your dad, and with Hugo on my knees... (et pas le contraire...).

Ton fils sera maquettiste parce que papa l'était déjà (confucius).

Becs à tous.

When asked about what he wanted to do during the summer hollidays, the Prince said "I want to do plastic modelling with you dad". I swear I didn't force him !
