Art Exhibition Catalogue - The Spirit of Nature

This is an old exhibition catalogue that was printed in 1990. That exhibition was organised by Della Butcher Gallery. It was held at the Oriental, Singapore Atrium Gallery, 4th Floor, 5 Raffles Avenue Marina Square, Singapore. Della Butcher was the gallery owner who also held my first one man art exhibition. I am grateful to her for her love and care she had had for me and my arts. Below few photos of the book to show you.

New Painting

I discovered that my painting appears in a TV commercial many times every day recently. In that commercial, someone stand at a distant in front of my painting talking to the camera. As it is a big painting at the entrance of Stamford Ballroom of Raffles Convention Center at Raffles City, I could see clearly it is my painting at the background. My own painting inspired me to work on new painting.
Here is the new work that I have just painted, I am happy with the effect and surface of the painting. It is a small one, I like the abstract nature of the painting with freedom of strokes and strong colors composition.

Singapore Arts Street 2008 @ North East

I am happy to meet Ms Chng Seok Tin and Ms Irene Hong at the Singapore Arts Street 2008 @ North East. Chng Seok Tin was my Print Making teacher at the St Patrick's Art Center twenty two years ago, at that time, she came back from abroad and began teaching Print Making at St Patrick's Art Center. Iren Hong is a professional painter and ink-painting lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. I am happy to meet Mr Tung Yue Tang, he is a professional artist in Singapore.
At the Official Opening Ceremony, I am happy to meet the Guest of Honour Mrs Lim Hwee Huan, Senior Minister of State for Finance & Transport and Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC, and the VIP Mr Lee Suan Hiang, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Arts Council. Besides watching Music and Dance Performances and presenting Certificates of Appreciation to the artists, Mrs Lim and Mr Lee visited the Art Wall, Art Market, Hands-on-Arts sections and they talk to the participants.
