Art in Singapore - Singapore Biennale 2008

,

Singapore Biennale, an international contemporary art event in Singapore, it will be again organised by the National Arts Council in 2008. It will be the second time this event to be held here. Recently, they have had Encounters session for guests and friends, so to meet and have conversation with the curatorial team. The theme this time is Wonder. Wonder is about thinking, questioning and looking at things with fresh mind... its aims is to make people aware of this sense of wonderment and their capacity for it, as contemporary art brings about moments of surprise, enchantments, shifts in perspectives, new experiences and ultimately, enrichment. I think that will be an interesting art event in Singapore again.

Ebay Store artpabha - at ebay Singapore

, , , ...

I have spent sometimes listing my items at my newly opened store (artpabha) at ebay Singapore for the last few days. It is not a easy things to do. I hope the store looks good. It is at http://stores.ebay.com.sg/artpabha . For overseas people to access ebay Singapore they have to type "www.ebay.com.sg", otherwise they can't see the Singapore listings. I sold another painting few days ago. I am happy that this time the buyer is from France. :D

Meanwhile, I have also made a few more 3D art works, I called it 3D seals. See this one on the left, the meaning of the words is "True Taste in It."

If you are interested to buy my art works, you could visit my web site at http://pabha.com or http://prabhakara.com there you can see hundreds of paintings and artworks. Feel free to contact me with the details of paintings that you are interested in, so I could let you know if it is available and your cost of acquisition. If you live in Singapore, you could make an appointment to visit me and view my works at my home studio for arts.

Recent Paintings - Waves

, , , ...

I completed these three paintings recently. I have not painted waves for a long time. I painted my first painting of wave in 1987. It was quite a big painting, it's size is 127 x 122 cm. I exhibited it in my First one-man exhibition. It was acquired by an art lover during the exhibition. I remembered I have taken a photo of him and his family members. Presently, these three paintings are of smaller sizes. one of 8 x 12 inches and two of 8 x 10 inches.

Hope you like them.
