PERU INCA TRAIL TOUR

Inca Trail Peru

.
Hiking to Machu Picchu is the goal of many travelers in Peru in need of an active outdoor family vacation. But the popular 4-day Inca Trail isn't a possibility to reach these ruins by foot. In truth, there are several alternate routes for trekking to Machu Picchu. Here are 5 different ways to get a workout while visiting Peru's most well-known site.

Take the great distance . The Choquequirao trek is usually done as a a half dozen day trek through the Peruvian Andes to the Inca site called Choquequirao. This massive mountainside damage site was discovered relatively recently and is still largely overlooked as a result of many travelers. That may be because the typical hiking route doesn't take you anywhere near the classic Incan site, which many want to see at some time during their Peru vacation. However, for very ambitious travelers booking with skilled adventure companies, trips can be tailored to go past Choquequirao and all the way to Machu Picchu. This option can take up to 10 days and comes after difficult terrain through some isolated portions of Peru.

Take the cultural way . The Lares trek is probably the easiest hiking trip in close proximity to Machu Picchu. The trail meanders through the Sacred Valley allowing trekkers to check out and interact with several rural Peruvian communities. The scenery is made of valleys, hot springs, rivers, and lagoons. The hike actually concludes in Ollantaytambo and from this town travelers take the train all of those other way to famous Inca damages.

Take the classic way . The classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu could be the 4-day trek that concludes at the famous ruins themselves in the morning of the 4th day. Travelers who select this approach enjoy a lovely sunrise view with the ruins as they enter the famous Sun Gate. Because this is the most used Machu Picchu trekking selection, permits sell out months ahead of time, especially during high season.

Get the scenic way . The Peruvian highland and mountain scenery is beautiful irrespective of which path you take, but the Salkantay trek is particularly stunning as it goes near and over most of the highest passes in areas. The glacier covered peaks are especially breathtaking.

Take the comfortable way . If you have the time and money to spare, a truly unique experience is a Machu Picchu lodge trek. Rather than camping, you'll spend every night in a comfortable rustic lodge eating delicious meals made by expert chefs. During the day you'll hike through mountain tops and valleys before finally ended up at mountain top attraction after six days with traveling. That route takes some 6 a long time, and can be done in alternative to the Inca Trail if the latter is deemed to help harsh. A permit should be applied for this route.

Purification Trail

The main Inca Trail system, this route has been recently discovered by archaeologists. That starts at km. 107 of the railway track (3km upstream from Aguas Calientes), on the hydroelectric exit pipe.

After crossing the suspended connection, it follows to your Choquesuisui gully, and ascends until such time as it meets the Inca Trl near Wiñ ay Wayna. Your name, Purification Trail, alludes to the descending pools formed by way of the stream that runs alongside the way.
