Anonymous writes: I think it is not fair to blame Gentoo's GNOME maintainers, who work in their spare time for improving GNOME experience in Gentoo. In addition the flexibility coming from USE-flags to enable/disable features at compile time eventually reducing dependencies on other libraries (which i love about Gentoo) implies larger test scenarios and more work to be done before something new like GNOME 3 will integrate nicely with the rest of the packages in portage tree. So instead of complaining, just help with bug reports or similar.

Anonymous writes: I also want to use Gnome 3 in Gentoo, but I cannot install it from overlay. Some packages cannot be compiled, and others even cannot download. Many Problems. I have been fiddling with it for 2 days, and go back to 2.6.X finally. Would someone give some instructions of how to install Gnome 3 from overlay.

Even without the bugs I can't really see any advantages to using gnome 3 for current gnome users - although it works in a different way I'm not of the opninion its more productive. Anyway, like when kde4 came out it needs to mature.
