I love these types of drums. We so rarely hear them in the U. S. Once in a while there will be a Bob Marley type band that plays them but not often. Maybe once a year I may hear them at a cultural festival.

I believe that this type of drums were from singapore long time ago before the spaniards came in the philippines, as part of tradings... sort of bartering.very important tribes as philippine history is concern.
