Adopting Parent/English Teacher/1st blog finding Xiao Qing

It's Legal

We woke up early this morning and Clay got a call that his class was
postponed. I called Ruth, our translator and asked for her to see if Mr. Zhao
from the old Zhengzhou orphanage had time to meet us at the adoption office and
do the paperwork. He stated he had a meeting but would rearrange, to leave NOW.
We did.

The lady leader stated it was the fastest adoption she'd
ever done....HA HA HA....maybe the fastest in the end, but the slowest from
start to finish.

We still need to go to the notary sometime next week.

Ms. Yang said...this is a "holy moment" and she had tears in her eyes as she
handed us the certificate, for she knows all we've been through and she was very
instrumental in getting ZZ orphanage to finally submit Xiao Qing's file to CCAA.

It was great, no fanfare, no crowds, no other crying babies, very non-hectic.

Mr. Zhao gave us a ride back into town. We took Xiao Qing to her favorite
place for lunch and were back home taking a nap before 2 pm.

Now on to Guangzhou, but not sure when yet. Love, Pam
