Pam In China

Adopting Parent/English Teacher/1st blog finding Xiao Qing

She did it Again!!!

Why is it, every time I want the scissors, I can't find them? BUT, Xiao Qing can!!!

I came home and found her hair all chopped off again. Of course, the back remained long because she can't reach around that far. I mean, Really, How in the world do you fix this.....it's passed the "Audrey Hepburn" look of last Spring!!!!!

I was so frustrated! I took her to a corner hairdresser. She took one look and said, "Uhmpppp"!! So, I told her she looked really busy and left.

The next guy, said he would do his best. Another guy was told to wash her hair and she jumped up, which surprised me and was pretty willing to cooperate.

This was her first time at the hairdresser. Usually, she watches me or the babies get our cuts. She wasn't too happy with the end results, but I was, and that's what counts!!!

She asked, Where's my hair, mommy? I told her to look on the floor. Maybe now, that she realizes, she will be six years old when it's long again, she will leave the scissors alone!!!

lee,
i really think wu mei tried to fix it first. zheng nu signed to us that both girls cut the hair and put it in a shoebox. she is cute but looks so much like zheng nu i get them confused when looking from behind.

It is very fun for her to look at your site and see all the pictures of the girls, but she wanted to know where the picture of you were?? Love, Michelle

Guess you have a future beautician on your hands! heart

She is lovely. Looks like you need to get her one of those heads that you put the Play Dough hair on and then cut when you want to.
Are those things still around? I seem to recall such a thing from when I was a child. Do you?

I didn't think it could be "fixed" but I love her new do. My daughter never cut hers but she would cry when I combed it. One morning I had had enough, I took her to the beauty shop. She looked like an angel with that apron thing around her neck, sitting there so sweet. The women in the shop turned on me and one of them said "you're not getting that child's hair cut?" I got tears in my eyes, put my head in my hand and said "cut it!" She looked just like Qing Qing when it was finished and we were all very happy at hair combing time each morning because she could comb it herself. Happy New Year to all of you. Love, Valerie
