Saturdays are my only free day to get little chores done, like haircuts. Immediately, after the birthday party for one of our Little Swallow's, I bundled up a baby and took another boy and off we went to the beauty shop.

The shop owner is pictured here with one of her staff. She can't understand my Chinese but the staff worker can. She translates my Chinese into the local dialect. Then, the shop owner and I can communicate.

My next summer prep job is to get the house painted. The painter says it will take about 4 days. We'll move the kids out to my school apt. I hope we can get along, it's a very small place and the kids will sleep on the floor, but we'll endure.
