OPHELIA'S RAINBOW

I don't want a battle from beginning to end, I don't want a cycle of recycled revenge, I don't wanna follow Death and all of His friends.

just for sam

hello sam hi

Oh just

I was bored. Its 9 In the morning. Im hungry. Craving a mutton bunny. I will explain what that is later. Im miserable. And angry at someone who really does not put much effort anymore. Im half asleep. Half awake. I probably wont remember writing this BLOG.

The Loves of My Life... So far...

My music. From writing to playing and my indulgence.
My books. And my crafts. My eccentric mind. And my vivid , uncontrollable imagination. My bedroom,my own decadent piece of heaven.
My kittens Bubbles, Garfield, Percy and Skrik. Love my little angel babies.
My poetry. And chocolate. A warm shower always does the trick. And I good teddy bear. I sleep with 3. And a rag-doll. The sneaky peeking rays of sunlight through my curtain early in the morning. And the smell of fresh clean bedding. A strangers unapologetic hug. And when babies think they are really saying something But havent quite learnt to speak yet. True love conquering all. The way true love looks in your eyes and eternity is just never enough. Quiet moments of reflection. And having a sense of priority.

Warning:We are NOT ready!!!

I am proudly the anti-thesis of a patriot to my country. With very good reason. South Africa boasts one of the most comprehensive constitutions in the world, or so I'm led to believe. And what with our president assumptive being Jacob Zuma...well we are without a doubt on the brink of disaster, what with a charged rapist to lead our country, who believes a shower will cure HIV and AIDS. I want the world to wisen up to the truth of what South Africa REALLY is. And frankly in all respects WE ARE NOT READY! For anything of a large scale. Just take a look at one of the billion rand projects that is meant to be a stadium to host some of the matches for next year's FIFA WORLD CUP. It's barely even 75per cent ready! And I would be able to judge this as my father is a prominent person in the building industry. I have marvelled at some of this country's architectural wonders. But for something that is certainly going to be the biggest responsibility on a global front for this country, I cant say I'm not suprised. I highly doubt we will be ready. I'm not a cynic. Nor am I a pessimist. I am a realist. And the reality is , is that South Africa is not ready!

Pagola Heaven

This is my pagola at home. Its absolutely mesmerising. In the summer we sit outside and have lunch or supper , whatever, and my neighbour has an avery , so we always hear birds. In our very own garden though we have more than our fair share of birds who have made this their haven and sanctuary. Its like being in a serene botanical heaven. The whole thing was build by dad , right down to the table and matching chairs which he made from decking wood. He he. He really is an ingenius man. I have had many hours at home since I havent been working. It gives me time to just take a breather. I have spent more time in the last three weeks at home, than I have in the last 4 years. It really has gotten me back in touch with myself as well. I have a somewhat decadent yet homely and extremly livable house. Not like those where you get fancy and beautiful things just for show. Ours could be a showpiece but at the same time, everyone is welcome to feel at home. I think I will share bit by bit of my environment each day. I have a lovely treat for one of my friends here. Watch this space.

My Favourite Romantic Hero

Matthew Macfayden as Mr Darcy in Pride & Prejudice. There is just something about this man. The voice is just like melted chocolate on a hot summer day, but with the eloquence of all the greatest love poems of all time. And his unique charm , suave , mannerisms, quirks and expressions. Yes , I do agree Colin Firth was the definative Mr Darcy but it's Matthew's new added composed sensitivity of Mr Darcy that gets me going... As he says in Pride & Prejudice: '' you have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love. I love you... '' . And I love you Mr Darcy.

SKULL ART

Lately I have taken a keen interest in anything artistic pertaining to skulls. It's the rocker in me I must admit. This picture was drawn by a good friend of mine Lloyd. It was his last drawing to me on the last day of our campaign. Truly a sad day for all because we had all grown as a close-knit family. I have not returned there to that company for several reasons I shall not disclose of late. Soon maybe. But Yeah, this drawing holds a great deal of sadness but the memory of the friendships I had made working there. If there is one thing I take away with me, it's the friends I got out of working there. Miss you all tremendously.

My first teddy

This was my first attempt at knitting a teddy bear. It was finished quite some time ago but I still need to put Eyes on him. I gave him a very furry cape Lol. From a botched up knitting experiment. So he is a vampire teddy. So Yeah. I just did another in pink. But I will see what I do with that one.

HOW FUNNY IS THIS?

I can't remember where I found this. But I was torn into stitches.
