I have a few veterans who keep in touch because I try to 'keep it real'. Broken Soldier had a post called 'Support the Troops is a Lie'.
Homeless Vet is just that. Hardly a week goes by without another story of neglect or worse.
Usually around or just before Memorial Day and our Remembrance Day Nov 11 I'll post something relating to troops.
But the words I found from my long-time online contact Blue Girl Red State are too true : 'War is a Racket' by Maj-Gen Smedley-Butler ( posted at rantville )
Mark Twain knew the score too : The War Prayer.
