NVidia driver 180.29 vs 180.25 vs 180.22

I made some tests for 180.29 Final driver too, same conditions as before (see here) and these are the charts:
-blue line: 180.22
-red line: 180.25
-yellow line: 180.29
\
Personal conclusion:
This is a good example for the inaccuracy of a glxgears test. In all tests this latest driver came out the slowest. However I could clearly see that when these tests were made CPU usage never reached 100%. In previous tests the CPU was more stressed.
Also, a quick game test with Tremulous shows no problems, frames are maxed out at 90 FPS (note that with 180.25 I barely could get more than 30 FPS and when I was in big places and many players around the FPS dropped below 10).
What I don't understand: why on the official nvidia download page the latest driver is 180.22? Also these drivers are NOT marked as development/alpha/beta/test releases!
NOTE: between 180.25 and 180.29 I switched from KDE 4.1.3 to KDE 4.2, other than this, the rest of the system is unchanged.
