LOL--Thanks for the NYTimes link, however I tend to lean as far away from the 'lamestream' media as possible; hence my heading "Seeing BEYOND the media blackout." I truly believe in not only my candidate as President, but also in his message as a fellow American. I cannot support either Socialist (Democratic) candidate, nor can I support a neo-con such as McCain, nor a crazy evangelical (Mike Huckabee). That leaves me one choice--thank goodness it's the best one :wink:

chanmok 4. March 2008, 18:06

pauliticalmind, you emphasized on many burning issues to taste the real freedom, INDIVIDUALISM. It's hard to find people like you who are concerned. i think upto the income of $19,000.00 there shouldn't be any tax....please keep in touch and visit my blog. anyway, the following statement in my way of poetic verses is for your perusal:

Vote to be sold out (1)
@chanmok

Public! once you give your vote
An automatic way you get sold out;
You give life and death ownership
Unto your dear Leader, no doubt!

Do you know what are you doing
Do you know who your candidate is;
Are you sure if they are the right one
For you, to help and for your please!

Don't be whimsical and senseless
Your life, future depend on her or him;
Can she or he be angel, the real savior
So think, before you go in their team!

Make sure that they wouldn't enslave you
That they wouldn't be tyrant and dictator;
In the name of narrow nation and religion
Be sure that they are great and good factor!

Public! once you give your vote
An automatic way you get sold out;
You give life and death ownership
Unto your dear Leader, no doubt!

Vote to be sold out (2)
@chanmok

In countries, cheap patriotism to unite people
Teaches hatred, duty, loyalty to the head;
To worship the elected one, like a prophet
And to be insane, to kill brothers, to be mad!

Election, never been an easy task to perform
Restore peace, help finance public to survive;
To have a fearless life, justice and freedom
To re-start, for economical strength to live!

So, have a written commitment from candidate
Accordingly, you can take him or her to justice;
For breach of trust, as a contract violator
There shouldn't be any immunity practice!

A law, Heman or Sheman to be accountable
For their work and nothing they can hide;
No secrecy or anti-democracy after wining
No misleading, zigzag and no false pride!

In countries, cheap patriotism to unite people
Teaches hatred, duty, loyalty to the head;
To worship the elected one, like a prophet
And to be insane, to kill brothers, to be mad!

But I wish there was a Paul/Nader ticket.

Smilies are disabled in this election.

chanmok 5. March 2008, 00:35

anonymous user, my wish is same like your's! nader is better than all. it is sad that most voters are biased and don't have vision. that's why voters get beat up after the election. voting drama is asusual .......and in the hands of ........!

pauliticalmind 5. March 2008, 00:48

An acquaintance of mine said it best:

Nadar is an establishment person made out to look like an outsider. If you noticed he got more covered by the establishment media when the Libertarian candidate which was on more ballots across the country didn't get mentioned as all.

Thanks, Joy, for this wonderful observation!

Robert Hurley 5. March 2008, 02:45

Kucinich!

pauliticalmind 5. March 2008, 03:11

Although Kucinich and Paul are 'friends,' and they KINDA agree on foreign policy issues, I could not endorse someone who throws away his principles and gives his support to a socialist (Obama).

chanmok 5. March 2008, 03:29

pauliticalmind: for obama, pretending a socialist is hypocricy to mislead the poor voters. I heard that obama himself is a wealthy capitalist person. isn't it!

pauliticalmind 5. March 2008, 03:55

Chanmok: I'm confused by your last comment. Are you suggesting that Obama's not socialistic? Your answer may influence my next blog :idea:

chanmok 5. March 2008, 04:40

if someone can confirm with the definition of socialism and of socialist first; only then we would know what kind of socialism obama is advocating and what kind of socialist he is!

Not mention 5. March 2008, 11:28

For me a socialistic is one that give prior to improves on social part.
This would be, everything that involves a large number of people like better health clinics, build squares, etc. (even parties, stuff like gay parade)
And not been so worried about oil barrel or army funding or other issues that could affect only few people.
I think Obama is weak, but it's better then Bush.
In brazilian news you won't find any information about Raul, they show every single day on TV "US election"... I get sad when a fake election going on Russia and media just doesn't care, they show a small news only at last day ( and make fun of guys voting semi-nude, WTF).
I totally agree with you, we can't trust mainstream media, even if they act technically, they can (and they do) mistakes.

chanmok 5. March 2008, 12:06

R2: you said good and thank you but even in capitalism such services for people are available!

how about state having the supreme power for wealth and for everything! how about selection procedure! how about people's army and building larger army! how about cutting down rich people's wealth! how about their typical way of education! how about Party's supreme authority! how about what Karl Marks defined and dictated what Socialism suppossed to be! i don't think obama fall in any criteria to be a socialist.

in many countries anyone who offended existing british law and or any criminal were being cheaply cursed as "socialist"
or "communist". a socialist will not try to go to power like obama is trying to be elected on behalf of one of few parties! in giving bluff or few promises in 2/3 fields none should be addressed as a socialist. in learning few words of a foreign language none can be titled as the pundit on that....

Not mention 5. March 2008, 18:25

I agree with you, when i said prior i mean as making 'widely available' or "available before other things", of course we do have those services in a capitalism but they aren't, in general, the main goal or main objective.
Yeah, we all know socialist it's kinda of utopia... Marks suckz. It's good that obama won't create something like "The Great Firewall of China"... FARC (terrorist from Colombia) say they follow Marks, LOL.
In brazil socialist and communist are seen by many as "argue-proof", because of the dictatorship we had (that all sign of left was banned, killed, tortured etc). People tend to protect the left, and say thats "on".
I'm totally against any form of imposed authority. I'm not 'left' nor 'right'. Sure obama is pretending to be soft socialistic same way brazilian president does. Give money to poor people (yes, direct money, not some educational services, money, cash) and say nice things on tv, get angry with big companies (but do a lot of agreements to keep them here) and so on.
P:
talking about learning few words of a foreign language, you just teach "pundit", though i don't know the sound spelling, its good to learn. (lucky they didn't block wikitionary on my work).

chanmok 5. March 2008, 19:14

Re: " in learning few words of a foreign language none can be titled as the pundit on that...."

___________sorry, sorry my friend! the statement meant for obama since he is into few minor things to pretend himself as a socialist. I beg apology if you get offended in my words which never ever meant for you, personally but it was an example to understand obama only.....i hope i clarified the matter. thanks.

Not mention 6. March 2008, 11:02

P: don't worry, I'm ok with it. Lets hope obama don't win

pauliticalmind: "I will vote for Ron Paul!"

Good luck there.:smurf:

QuantumBios 9. March 2008, 05:47

You are spreading liberty and the message is an important one. This is probably the most important election in the modern history of America. This election will shape the future of this country, and it's people like you who are helping every American to better understand the founding principles of this country. We are not Socialists. We are not Fascists. We are not Communists. We are Americans, and Ron Paul is the American Way! Keep up the great work! http://my.opera.com/QuantumBios/blog/my-first-ron-paul-video
:sing:

Deke 9. March 2008, 23:56

I don't think any of the candidates are socialists as I understand the term, in fact anyone who tried to run on a genuine socialist ticket in the US (Or over here in England) would probably get run out of town on a rail.

QuantumBios 10. March 2008, 18:33

I don't think of them in terms of pure socialist, as socialism is just an introduction to communism. I read somewhere that socialism is 90% paper money (backed by nothing). I do not believe that the forefathers of this country intended for me to work, and give half of everything I earn to an incompetent government. Why should the fruits of my labor go to pay for abortions (which I oppose) for irresponsible others? That's not right. It's assumes that my life is not my own, but rather, my life and the earnings from my work belong to the government. No. That's anti-liberty, and it goes against everything that is supposed to make America special, and different than the rest of the world. :irked:

I respect your ability to choose that person, whom you see fit to run the country. However, I do think that what our troops do for us is far more than we can imagine. A buddy of mine who was in Iraq told me about many good things that were happening that never would have happened had we not been there. He said that the media doesn't report A LOT of good stuff because the happy stuff doesn't sell. I don't like war any more than the next person, but the good in the long run will pay off, we just need to be patient. However, I respect your opinion. I have a funny video on my blog that I just uploaded from Comedy Central that you should check out. While your at it, leave a comment. Thanks for your support!:smile: :smile: :smile: :smile: :smile:

Mark 20. March 2008, 13:28

I have Many friends in Iraq and hear from them often with pix and comentary...there cause for protecting the us has been clouded by political greed, what they once believed to be true has fallin apart,
the media is only able to show what the gov. wants the people to see....you should know that ever since 911 when they showed the pictures of the attack just long enough for bush to be able to take us to war then stopped the footage saying its too upseting for the people to see. I get many pix from Iraq but you wont see anything like them on your tv or in the paper. IT IS TIME FOR A REVALUTION!!!!!
