Saturday April 25 - 67 miles - north to Lake worth and South to the 15 mile turnaround

Sunday April 19 - 63 miles - west route - took yamato home

Saturday April 18 - 52.8 miles with Nick and Mike. Strone ene wind - They fought it all the way out to meet me. Then I picked up the pace into it - rode through the tail end of a rain shower in Boynton
roads dried off after the inlet. Nick wanted to turn around and Mike was tired - Some guy riding a lemond passed us at a good pace so I got on his wheel and we got up to Worth Ave. Beautiful windy day!

Saturday April 11 61.3 miles - Met Mike and Nick and rode north with the g2 group - they turned around at Boynton Beach inlet and we continued at at 24-26 pace with some monster looking triathlon dude that we hung with up to Worth Ave. We got up there so quickly that we had enough time to go to Palm Beach inlet. headwind was growing out of the south and we fought it all the way home - Hooked with another tri dude who turned out to be a lawyer named Brian Fox - he handles primarily bike/car accidents.

Sunday Aril 4 - 67.4 miles - solo ride out west - finall7y met up with Shawn and Tom at Liberty aPark and finished the ride with them.

March 09

Sunday - slept in - Zero miles

Saturday March 28 52.3 WINDY miles with Mike - South winds were at 20 to 30 MPH - I said to Mike as we left Are you sure you wnat to go north. North we went flying with that wind at our backs - we kept it above 25 most of the time and made it up to Worth Ave quick. Then we turned around andf the fun started. That was the worst headwind I can remember tackling. It was unbelievable. I got home and was WIPED OUT for the rest of the day.

March 21 and 22 - ZERO MILES - hurt my back friday night cleaning my bicycle

Thursday - 15 miles on rollers

Wed - 15 miles on rollers

Saturday 03/14/09 66.4 miles - Woke up LATE - out of the house in 20 minutes to meet Mike - we headed north with the wind at our backs and after a short warm up picked it up past 23 and stayed there. I thought we left the G2 team behind us, but looked back to see Cesar was with us - very sppirited pace with a strong tailwind. Once we passed the Boynton beach inlet, Cesar turned off - Mike and I slowed down a bit and took a more civilized pace up to Lake Worth Pier. Heading south was another story entirely. It waws all about spinning steadily in the 17 mph range. Mike turned off aat Spanish River and I kept going south and turned around just below Commercial - hooked up with a few riders in Pompano - came home with the wind at my back.

Friday 3/13 - 15 miles rollers

Thursday 3/12 5 miles rollers

Sunday 3/8 76.2 miles - Wellington ride with the crew - Avi showed up but turned off early to see his daughter back from college - the rest of us kept a nice steady pace - headwind all the way home.

Saturday 3/7 56.6 miles - Heard all about Paradise island from Mike and Nick - got to get there eventually - we rode north to Lake worth and hooked up with Bruce Clipson while doing the victory lap - he came south with us and lead us at 25 most of the way - we formed a decent group including Avi and some poeple I never saw before. Make and Nick left and I was hanging off the back of the rest of them still lead by Bruce. We got down into Highland beach and everyone just started dropping off in front of me. I fought my way up to the number 2 man behind bruce and just as I did - he dropped off too - I got my second wind at this point and reeled Bruce in - he took me all the way down to the Boca Line where I ran out of gas entirely.
You go thru life thinking your a pretty strong rider until someone like Bruce shows up - 10 years older and 65 lbs lighter than me. He sets the cruise control to 25 every time I see him out there.

Weekly roller miles 30

Sunday March 1 - 50 miles - Hobe sound ride with the usual supects including Nick who rode very strong up there - we all did some monster pulls into the wind getting back to the cars. I was riding on the back when everyone started dropping off like flies - I raced up to catch some triathlon dude behind Bruce - then he dropped - I sprinted up and caught him and he led me all the way to the Boca line at 25 - got to the top of the hill and ran out of gas completely. Saw a triathlon dude in front of us pulling up to a red light - cops were behind us - someone yelled "don't do it" but the idiot went through the light anyway - cops pulled himover immediately an we just rode past - caught a nice steady 20 mph draft home with those guys - finally took a pull for the last one of the group from highland beach to the boca line

01/04/09 - 63.6 miles - Sunday - met Mike at the park and the 2 of us rode the west route minus the Pave - he had to get back early to catch the Dolphin playoff game - they lost to the Ravens - we kept a good pace and got him back home by 10 - stopped for bagels on the way home

We turned around at Lake Worth and headed home with the wind at our backs.

December 08

Wednesday December 31 - 36.1 miles on the decked out fuji - cruised north up to boynton beach inlet where the road was CLOSED - turned around an hooked up with some people heading south left them at Spanish river - did a loop down to deerfield to get a few more miles and headed home

Tuesday December 30 - 53.4 miles on the Torelli - cruised down to the shop - dropped off some shipping stuff and headed north into the wind - turned around at lake worth pier - front derailler clamp snapped on the way back - scratched my brand new frame on the seat tube - removed the derailleur and rode back down to the shop - orered a new one and had it repaired within 24 hours. Also totally hooked up the Fuji with new conti 4002 tires, new campy record hubs laced to open pro rims (much lighter than my old deep v's), new chain and casette

Sunday December 28 - 58 miles - west ride with the crew - strong wind out of the SE, so I took glades both ways - met Mike at the park - then hooked up with Chris and Tom

Saturday - December 27 - 52.2 miles - Took the Fuji back out - first ride on her since I got the Torelli project finished - Met Mike and Nick at Spanish River - as soon as we pulled out we got passed by a HUGE group of Zmotion riders including Avi - We hung off the back of them till we got past bush blvd - Then Mike Nick and I settled down into our usual pace and my heart rate came back down to earth. Then we see a guy in a moped go by giving Avi a push to get him back into the group - I said Hey THATS CHEATING!!! Then Avi came back to our little group the 4 of us headed up to Worth Ave at a good pace.
Mike and Nick turned off at bush - Avi and I kep going south - we hooked up with another guy on a carbon Fuji and for a short whil it was just us 3 riding 3 Fuji's all built by Rich - that was unusual.

Friday December 26 - 60.6 miles - rode out west and got to the park at 7:35 - noone was there so I kept rolling and met Tom - Avi caught up with us in Parkland - strong headwind on the way home - hooked up with a rider from Michigan on a litespeed - thin dude riding steady into the wind and doing track stands on his Litespeed at the red lights - he stayed with me all the way to Yamato and Federal - which was great because I was fried by then.

Thursday December 25 - Merry Christmas - 67 miles on an epic solo ride - wind was buillding out of the SE and the road was wet when I left home - headed North to Lake Worth Pier and took some pics with my new camera - headeed south and hooked up with a kid on a Gerolsteiner Blue Specialized - allmost dropped him a couple times but waited and used him to help me get through the wind. When we got to the stretch above Delray - we could see the rain ahead of us - it was a torrential sun shower and the wind really picked up as we went through it - He dropped off at Atlantic and I kept rolling south - saw some riders under an awning and out of the weather - they were wet and freezing standing there in the wind. I gave them a WOOOOOHOOOO as I rode by them - probably thought I was nuts.
I kept going south - out of the rain but still battling a strong headwind - kept going past Boca and turned around just south of Commercial Blvd - Headed home with the wind at my back and very wet feet;)

Sunday December 21 - 70.4 miles Road out west and got a VM from Mike saying he was running late - so I stretched a bit and headed up toward his house - met Mike and Nick on Cain Blvd - we cruised back through the par - then met up with Tom, Avi and Jamie out by the high school. Did the whole west route and took Clint Moore rd home - crawling into the wind!

Friday December 19 - 55 miles - avg speed 18.3 - Solo ride heading south - left the house at 10:30 and hooked up with 2 riders in pompano - one was a 65 year old french guy/former racer - he climed the 17th st bridge like a fucking animal - the other one was a 21 year old kid from Michigan here on vacation - he is a cat 2 racer - who had a power meter on his rear wheel and also races on the track in Michigan. This kid was amazingly strong - I rode with him down to the bridge and back up to Boca. I wanted to go further but I was fried trying to keep up with him - great ride - would not be surprised if this kid makes it to the pro's.

Sunday December 14 - 48 miles - west route with Mike, Tom, Avi and Jamie - strong east wind!

Saturday December 13 - 45 miles - Short ride with Mike and Nick - up to boynton beach inlet then down to the embassy suites - took the back road from there to cmino west and up 4th ave. Thn went to work to get some OT.

Sunday December 7 - 85 miles - Kids in Distress charity ride - started at 7AM with the 100 mile group from the south end of Ft. Lauderdale Beach - cold damp morning - we headed south to the 17th st bridge - got to the top and found out that the bridge was closed - after a while we realized that it was stuck - so we all turned around against traffic and got off the bridge.

We headed north with a strong headwind with a fast group doing 20-25 - tried to drop them at one point to catch the next group - got within 30 meters of them and ran out of gas - watched them disappear and folded back into the original group - stayed near the front and out of trouble - got to Boynton Beach inlet and everyone else in the group turned around.

I was riding alone again until I got caught by a small group of 5 or 6 riders doing a steady pace into the wind - we got swallowed up by a large group headed by the G2 team - my old friend Willy and his crew - we got past Lake Worth Pier and the sun came out. Conditions were perfect except for the headwind - I had moved up into about 5th position as we went around an s curve and onto a plateau overlooking the ocean - it was beautiful!

Then disaster struck. We were doing a nice steady pace of 20-22 into the wind - I looked out over the ocean thinking this is perfect - then I looked up to the riders in front of me to see a guy in a blue jersey go straight DOWN! At this point everything went into slow motion trippy speed. I looked to my left to see if I could steer around the mess but I had no room to manuever. I had no choice but to go straight over the fallen rider.

My front wheel went right over his torso. I knew I was going down so I didn't try to fight it. I clipped out of my pedals and became air born. As I passed over the bars I put my right arm down to cushion my fall. I remember thinking......just tuck and roll.....like I used to do on the football field, but this time I was 6 feet off the ground and moving and 20 plus mph.
So I landed on the outside of my right hand then took the brunt of the fall on my left side. Got some slight road rash on my left arm and leg. I hit the left side of my rib cage HARD! My first thought was to get out of the way in case more riders were coming so I rolled over toward the sea wall, but no one else came. I laid on my back looking straight up at the clear blue sky thinking - where's my bike?

I got up slowly and was approached by other riders asking if I was alright. I had no idea at that point, but I was able to get up to see that my bike was upside down with someone else's handlebars tangled up in my rear wheel. I was able to untangle the bars from my wheel with some help from Willy who runs the G2 race team.

I got the bike away from the mess and saw that the rear wheel was way out of true and the bike was unrideable. So I ended up waiting for the SAG wagon with another guy who hurt his back and totaled his bike. After the crash, Avi came by. He stopped to see if I needed any help. It was good to see a familiar face.
Just then I was approached by the police asking me for all my information. Finally the van came and we road in up to Palm Beach Lake to make sure everyone was OK up there. We got back down to Lake Worth Pier and there was a mechanic there. He was a rep for Specialized and he was able to straighten out my wheel to make the bike rideable again.

I cleaned myself up in the bathroom, got some carbs and banana and started riding South with the wind at my back. I started feeling better immediately. I was very uncomfortable in the back of the van and felt much better to be riding again. I stopped at the Boynton Beach inlet to see the van with my buddy cheering me on in the passenger seat. I got some more food and water and kept going.

I got down to the bridge just past Palmetto and hooked up with another rider who passed me going up the bridge. I caught him and stayed on his wheel for a while. He picked up my pace considerably and got me down to the south end of the Hillsborough mile. I cruised the rest of the way back to the finish line and was greeted by a bunch of people cheering me on. That felt good even though I was alone and among the last riders to finish.
I got some food, water, a T-shirt and made it back to the car.

Other than the rear wheel, which has been trued - my bike is fine. I am a little sore and will be for a few days, but I will be back on the road ASAP. I don't know why that rider went down and I hope that he is OK. I am grateful for the people who helped me and am glad to make it through that ordeal.

Saturday Dec 6 - 52 miles - Met Mike and Nick in my new jersey and bibs - we latched on the the zmotion group for a while up to Boynton Beach inlet. They turned around and we kept going with a small group of riders. Eventually caught up to the Fat Cat team riding slow in Palm Beach. Got pulled over by the cops on the way back because of some clowns in front of us who insisted on riding 3 across, even after we told them there were "CARS BACK"!!! several times. We passed them after that.

Friday December 5 - 60 miles - Solo Torelli ride to Palm Beach lake - beautiful day - left the house at 10:20 and cruised up to the end. On the way back, I took a drink from my bottle and got BIT ON THE LIP BY A FUCKING WASP!
It swelled up and hurt like a bitch. I pulled into Lake Worth and washed it. Came out of the bathroom and was greeted by some old lady saying "you did a great job, wee followed you in the car all the way from Palm Beach" I said "thank you" and carried on with a swollen lip wondering if I was gonna have an allergic reaction. The swelling went down and I was fine. Great ride other than that.

Sunday March 30th - 61.3 miles - North ride to Palm beach - ran into Sandra again and had another great ride with her.

Saturday March 29 - 51.6 mile - left the house at 8:15 and headed north into the wind. I was holding a steady 19 mph and heard someone on my wheel just past Delray Beach. No problem, I just started pointing out obstacles and walkers as usual when riding with others. We finally exchanged a few words in Lantana. Turned out I was riding with Sandra Edwards. Sandra won the State Championship in her age group (55+) in 2007. I said "55+, you look like your in your 30's" and she really does. Sandra is recovering from a knee injury. She slipped and took a fall on the tiles in her house. If not for that I probably would have watched her disappear over the horizon;)
As it was I felt honored to block the wind at a steady pace for our State Champion all the way up to Worth Ave in West Palm Beach. We turned around there and picked up the pace a bit with the wind at our backs. Sandra was very nice and she knew just about every rider that passed us.
She turned off in Lake Worth - then I hooked up with 2 more ladies and rode with them from Ocean ave all the way home to Boca - great ride.

Then I got passed by these 2 mutts - the one in back looked like humpy dumpty - but I let them break the wind for me at 18 up to Delray beach - they slowed down so I went around them and caught the fast rider at the Atlantic light - I tucked in behind him for a short while doing 25 into the wind - got past bush blvd - then let him go - I watched him disappear over the horizon as my heart rate came back down to earth.
I passed a Spanish rider on a silver trek, doing 18 near Woolbright and he stayed on my wheel - took him to the top of the bridge at Boynton Beach inlet and he took over - we got up to Lantana and met up with another Spanish rider that he knew.
This was an older rider on a black trek - the three of us made it up to Palm Beach Lake at a steady pace - we turned around and finally exchanged some words in english - the older guy turned out to be 69 and a very strong rider - amazing.
Shortly after that the old guy's seat just comes apart. It was a gel fizik saddle he purchased less than a week ago. We stopped at a gas station and used a plastic zip tie to hold in saddle in place so he can make it home.
At the gas station were 3 more Spanish riders. 2 of them were twin brothers, with team uniforms on from 7 bicycles, riding carbon Orbeas - they said they were going down to Ft. Lauderdale and invited us to join them. The first two dropped off at Lantana.
I was on the back of the other three when the guy in front of me invited me to go ahead of him. So I tucked in behind the twins, who did a steady 23-24 all the way down to Hillsborough Blvd. They rode side by side and I had a clear path of vision straight down the road. Wow what a ride - we passed every cyclist out there and these guys were just talking like it was a walk in the park. I checked my average speed and it was 19.6 before I turned back into the wind for 5 more miles to get home. I didn't bother trying to fight the wind and just spinned home smiling from ear to ear - what a ride!

Saturday March 10 - 50.6 miles - met up with Mike and Avi at Logger's run - we went out with the 21 plus group. I got on the front and kicked it up to 23 - which was obviously not in line with the plans of that group. Oh well, let me just say that I love individuals, but groups of people I can usually do without. There is usually a leader and that person more often times than not, is an asshole. Got home with over 50 miles a little after 9AM in time to get my ass to work by 10.
Great ride if it weren't for the bullshit.

Sunday March 4 - 66.4 miles - Legs felt like lead when I left the house, but livened up later on - Met the usual suspects out west Avi, Mike, Ken and eventually Tom - I was running late so I called and they met me at Cain Blvd - very spirited Sunday ride - through the Pave horse farms etc - wind was out of the west and at my back on the way home. Awesome weekend of riding.

Saturday March 3 - 100.4 miles - Average speed 18.1 - a personal best- finished in
6 hours and 5 minutes - weather was humid with wind out of the southwest building to the teens by noon. Left home at 6:45 and headed North over the Spanish River Bridge and North on A1A - cruising at about 20 - I was passed by a triathlon dude near highland beach - he passed me at 25 and I jumped on his wheel. He had a Giant tribike with aero bars. After passing me he slowed down to 23 and realized I was there.
He took me a little further then pulled off the front. I picked it up a bit and got us up to the south end of the beach at Delray. I was having trouble keeping up with him but I held on and recovered. He let me go up by the pine trees between Delray and Boynton.
I checked my average speed and it was 19.8 so I decided to keep the speed up and see if I could finish strong. It was easy to hold 19-21 and I got up to Palm Beach Lake at 10:45 with an avge of 19.6. Then I turned south and headed into the wind. It was not that strong so I was still able to hold on to decent speed. I got down to Delray and then it started picking up.
The wind was getting to me so I took another break at Spanish River with 60 miles in.
I tried a little trick I used in my running days which I called Leapfrog - basically it is like doing intervals. Hold a good speed for a while then recover and drop down to 17 and do it again. This worked for a while until I got to the bottom of the Hillsborough mile. I was just about to give up.
They say it's always darkest before the dawn.
Then what seemed like a miracle happened - out of no where comes 2 riders. One thin French guy in Yellow on a red Orbea, that I recognized. He was on the front doing 20 into the wind with very little effort. On his wheel was a big guy in purple on a red Cannondale. He waved me to join them and I jumped on his wheel. I was able to recover at 20 behind them and catch my breath.
We got down to the light at Atlantic in Pompano and the French dude, runs it. I waited with the other guy while the yellow jersey took off and was gone. The light turned and I said maybe we can catch him. He said "I doubt it". So I took off and was doing 25 into the wind. I looked back and the Cannondale was gone. I saw the yellow jersey in the distance so I went for it and caught him at the light at Commercial Blvd. I said how far are you going. He said my house is a quarter mile from here. Great.
By now I had about 72 miles in and I knew I needed 79 to get me home. I made it down past the strip at Las Olas and hit 79 miles with an average speed of 18.6. Got some water and a large Coke and headed home with the wind at my back.
Made it into my complex with 99.5 and pulled into my parking lot with 100.1.
Fastest century I have ever done. Got into the house and collapsed on the floor:)

Turned onto Spanish River and got a rear flat 1/2 mile from home. I walked the bike across the street into a shady spot on the grass. Out of nowhere I hear a voice asking me if I got a flat. The guy goes into his garage and comes out with a floor pump. Amazing I changed the tire and rode home without having to use a co2. Very cool.

Not too many riders on the road as it was another windy day. I started us out into the wind for about a 10 mile pull - then Scott took us up to the beach turn - Tom finished us off and got us to the end. The ride south was not bad at all - Need to go up there more often. 50 fuji miles

Cycling Log September

Maiden voyage on the Fuji.
As always it was a great ride out west. I stopped at
Scott's house on the way home and almost took the offer for a ride
home in the truck because it looked like rain.

As I headed east on Clint Moore, I could see the rain up ahead. It
came down hard and I got soaked. By the time I hit Military Trail, it
was as though it never rained. I dried off quickly and felt refreshed.
I rolled to the back of my complex with 68 miles in and said what the
hell, I can still do 16 miles out and back an get 100 for the day. So
I rolled on down south about a mile below Commercial Blvd, turned
around with 84 miles in. I stopped at 711 and got some protein bars
and Gatorade for the ride home. Rolled home with just over 100 at
2:45.

8/30 Went out for 10 miles after work in the wind and rain left over form Ernesto before it got dark. Slight noise coming from the BB. May need to be tightened.

09/04 3 solid days of riding for Labor Day weekend.

Saturday 9/2 - 68 miles on the Felt - met Mike and Avi at the shop. We had a good pace heading north with the wind at our backs - I was leading through delray beach when a group passed us doin 23 or so. We jumped on the back and held on for the ride. As we got to the top of the bridge at the Boynton Beach inlet, I was at the front again. I brought them up there and then dropped back. I had a little trouble staying on the back as my lungs were on fire, trying to recouperate from the climb I recovered using the old belly breathjing tricks I learned from running. We hung in with them all the way up to Lake Worth. Mike, Avi and I headed south and then turned west on George Bush Blvd - we headed west which was into the wind as it was coming from the southwest. I looked back and saw that I lost them twice. We got back together and dropped Mike off at Clint Moore and Lyons.
Avi and I went all the way back to the shop over the Clint Moore bridge and down Boca Raton blvd. Came home with 68 miles after a brief stop at the shop.

Sunday 9/3 - 70 miles on the Fuji - Sunday Morning Muck City ride with Tom, Mike, Avi and Scott. Perfect weather as it cooled down a bit. We took a nice route through the farms and back roads starting and ending at Lyon Country Safari.
About 5 miles in I got on the front heading west and took a steady pull of 19-20 for 9 miles. Very steady ride and the wind out of the south was kind to us. Awesome ride getting us to 70 miles back to the parkng lot.

Monday 9/4 - 55 miles on the Fuji with the same group. I got to the park a little late and rolled out for the usual Sunday route. I hit a rock on the way back from Parkland and the spring on my rear brake popped out of the caliper. Stopped at Scotts house on the way home and popped it back in. We also adjusted the spring tension and it still was not quite right. So I decided to take his offer for a ride in the truck as the rear brake needs to be adjusted. Other than that it was another awesome ride with the crew.

Saturday 9/9 - 48 miles on the fuji. Rich adjusted the rear brake again. Avi, Scott and Mike came outcame out to the shop and Rich was there as well. He straightened mout the stem and headseat. Much better rolling straight ahead. We took a west route out to Parkland. Still not feeling 100% and on antibiotics. Computer failed and now I have changed both batteries on the old cateye wireless computer.

Sunday 9/10 - 50 Miles on the fuji - drove the car out to south county regional and hooked up with Mike. Tom joined us a few miles later as we cruised into his neighborhood. We hooked up with Avi near the horse farms as he hit the snooze and went back to sleep. Beautiful day - still on antibiotics. Came home and slept hard for 3 hours.

Saturday 9/16 - 12 fuji miles - had to work so I missed the ride from the shop. The good news is the crew did get together and rode out west. I think it was the usual suspects, Avi, Rich, Scott and Mike. I was able to get out for a short ride in the afternoon around FAU. Watched some girls play soccer and got back in before it started raining. Very windy - storms all around the area.

Sunday 9/17 - 72 fuji miles - Met Mike, Scott and Avi at the park and we rolled out at a conversational pace. We decided to tak Loxahatchee Road all the way to the end. Some fast dude slowly passed the group, Scott got on his wheel and we hung with him at 23 until the end of that road. As we got down there I was in the third spot behind Avi and the stranger. There was a huge hole in the ground waiting for us there. I did not see anyone point it out and just missed it. Mike was behind me and rolled right over it. I heard he almost went down, but he didn't and no damage was done, thank God.

Mike left early to make it to the Dolphins home season opener. We took a slightly different route but still hit the Pave, and took a break at Liberty Park. Avi split off and Scott stayed with me up to Lyons and Clint Moore Rd. We did a few Honeymooners quotes and I began my long solo journey directly into the wind. I took a break, loosened my shoes, had a carboom and took off. The wind was coming straight at me as I headed home and kicked my ass the whole way. Felt good to be done. Still not 100% - having trouble breathing.

Sat 9/23 No ride from the shop today so Scott and Mike met me at the gas station on Clint Moore and Congress - we headed west and eventually took the usual western route. Went through the park looking for Tom but he must have slept in. Rich and Avi took off from riding for
Rosh Hashana. Wind was building out of the east and I had to fight it all the way home as usual.
Had a clicking noise coming from the bottom bracket. Stopped at the racer's edge and had them tighten it. They said it needs replacement soon. Ended up with 69 fuji miles.

Sunday 9/24 Met Mike at the park. Scott had a flat by his house so we met him there. We rolled out a little late at a decent pace through Lox rd and the horse farms. Mike left to catch the Dolphins at home. Scott and I slowed down and took it easy. As we got closer to his house the wind picked up out of the south east. Stopped for a bagel and gatorade on Clint Moore thanks to Scott. I made my way home with another 69 fuji miles.

Saturday 9/30 75.6 fuji miles - I was getting ready to leave when I noticed it was pouring so I called Mike to let him know. The rain stopped and I headed out at 6:50 - met Avi and his son Simon at the shop. We headed west and got about 10 miles or so with Simon. We stopped at their house - then Avi and I headed west. Took Lox rd to the end - made it out to the Pave then headed back east into the wind. I had new shoes, new pedals, and a new bottom bracket. The shoes were killin me. They were suppose to be the mega (wide) version I got on sale through performance. There is no way these are mega. I had to stop and take them off several times on the way home. The wind was kicking up out of the northeast. I took Yamato Rd home and was very glad to get those shoes off for good.
