How we face the swine flu

, ,

In Uruguay there are no comfirmed cases of swine influenza. Until yesterday, there was a case under investigation, but not comfirmed. Anyway, all the world is paying atention to the news and facts of this global problem.

The Health Services here started some days ago a campaign to give the vaccine against flu to all the population (from 6 months old children). I went with my family today. Even when this vaccine is not against specific swine flu, the H. Services declared that is recommended for reduce the risks, and make easier diagnose possible cases. I have seen in some news and reports, how people is going in massive way to get the vaccine. Even when it seems not to find panic among the population, everybody is taking care and following the suggestions of authorities. I think this is a good thing to remark.

I've been in touch with a friend of Mexico, and a neighbour forwarded a mail from his son who is in Cancun, and I can note the preocupation in people there. How can a disease change all the activity of a country, and keep in alert to all the planet! It's clearly seen, we are so fragile.

I hope the best for all my friends, and all the world to keep safe from all this. Best wishes to all, and take care!!

First day at Pan De Azúcar Public Secondary School - Primer día en Liceo de Pan de Azúcar (Eng-Esp)

, , ,

Today was my first day of classes as teacher in Pan de Azúcar. I had 3 groups of first level today, 12 years old boys and girls. All the groups are different (as groups), but it was a pleassure to work with them this first day.
I had a little problem, and is I can't remember names easily, and there are an average of 30 students per class, and is a nightmare for me in some moments. But I hope to know them well.

To work in a public space is a little different than in a private one, in some facts. But children are children, and they face the same problems, have same dreams, same questions, and are ready to learn no matter the place they are to study. I think I will learn a lot from this experience.

Infinite

, ,

What if I want to close my eyes, and watch nothing...
What if I want to fall deep inside of myself...
What if my life is hanging from emptyness
and my words are hidden today?

________Would you take a time for holding me?
________Would you be here to take me?

What if I watch this day in grey and grey...
what if i listen just echoes of crying...
What if I take myself to reach the infinite
of soul that is deeper than life?

________Would you understand my words then...?
________There's nothing to express in this place.

________Just fall to infinite
________and play with grey.

About the possibility of Dengue in Uruguay

,

This disease is caused by the bite of the mosquito Aedes aegypti There are several cases of this big problem in almost all South America Region, as www.fcagr.unr.edu.ar/Extension/Informes%20tecnicos/dengue.htm says, there are reports of Dengue in all countries of America, except Canada, Chile and Uruguay. But about this last country (The one where I live) is almost a fact that we'll have some cases in next days, because the speed of grow of the epidemic in the region. Tonight I heard in the news about a possible case in Paysandú, a department (state) at the north of Uruguay. Let's see next days if that's true.

Entire world has problems and hard situations: Earthquakes, Diseases, War, etc. I hope in this particular, we can work to combat this problem. But there are problems more difficult to resolve. In that cases it seems the Man can't have a world in peace.

Best wishes to all!

A year of opportunities? - ¿Un año de oportunidades? [eng-esp]

, , , ...

I have told many times to my friends, about my jobs here. One of my main jobs is: teacher. I've been working in a college in Piriapolis for some years. I really love this job, and I've been learning about join skills from other activities to this one.
But this year seems to be a great one, in facts of opportunities. Last month I had invitations to join to other institutes in the city, and neighbour cities. Exactly in 2 private computer-training institutes, and in 2 public colleges, to teach computer science too. Right now I'm sending the forms and required data to join to one of those public ones. Of course, I still work in the first college, because I have many responsibilities there (web site administrator, Computer lab manager, IT asistant, and teacher too :D ).

But I must tell I feel so happy for all the doors that are being opened around me. Some years we had difficult years at home. But I never gived up to my goals. I've been working hard to do what I really love. Yesterday I was preparing some extra information for my curriculum, and I found that it was a long journey to reach the things I can face today. I tell this words, thinking about people who maybe are in the same situation than me in previous years: if opportunities came late, don't stop fighting! Keep your dreams, keep your wishes, but work to reach them! Life takes a lot of ways, and chances come.

¿Un año de oportunidades?

He hablado muchas veces a mis amigos sobre mis trabajos.

On the bus

As I said, I Would miss my home after just 3 days outside. Yesterday I told my wife about strange things i feel since some time, related to this. Well, i am happy for coming back home. And want to see the lights of the city at the horizon.?

Short vacations to Shangrilá

, , ,

In few hours (no more than 3) me and my family are leaving Piriápolis to spend little vacations in Shangrilá, where the sister of my wife lives. We were expecting this moment, I finished some tasks, earn some money... and time to go! :D

I think will be for no more than 3 days (I have classes next monday), but everything is good enough at this moments, because our minds are tired, full of "noise" of yearly activities... and I want to go outside this city, leave the house for some days. I know at the second day I'll be missing (always happens  ), but right now I need vacations.

Well, I promise the photos, to post here, and in 365 (I think I will not post next days)

Have wonderful days!!!!!
Best wishes!!!!

Work worldwide

,

Dear friends...
I use not to post this kind of things, but today I'll do an exception.

Many of you know that I work using internet, and that I develop sites, and promote many web-services. From last months I've been developing a program to extend the services worldwide. I'll be the administrator of this program, even when my business-partner will do the same in other ways. So, I'm extending the invitation to work with us. There are many areas where the program can open possibilities: as Sales Agent, as developer, etc.

For that reason, I prepared some pages:

English: http://www.info-bytes.net/members/tiki-index.php?page=PAVI+program+opened+worldwide
Español: http://www.info-bytes.net/members/tiki-index.php?page=Programa+PAVI+abierto+para+usuarios+de+todo+el+mundo

Thanks for reading and your time.

There are special days

, ,

There are special days. And there are days you can transform from simple to special doing simple things.
From last summer, we've been teaching our daughter to keep money, to store every coin she recives into a can. She did it with pasion to buy a bike. Her first bike.
Today I visited all the shops I could to know if there were bikes she could buy with her money (well, we helped with a very little amount).
Today, when I came from work, my wife and I told her we had a surprise: "let's buy the bike2, we said. She said Ok, and then she opened wide her eyes and shout "Vamos a comprar la bicicleta!!!" (Let's buy the bike), like she reacted late to the information
It was too pleasant to see her face, brighting, a briliant face, full of happiness.
She carried the money (every coin she collected) and paid the sales man. We all came back home very happy: we, like parents, for the marveling thing of look our daughter happy, and the goal of teach her to keep a bit of money to have things she wants. And of course, she was happy because her new bike.

Well, she has only 4, and I was remembering with my wife that we both got our bikes very after that age. That made us feel even happiest. It's something that can't be described with words when you do simple things to children, but they contribute to their happiness, and makes their face shine. Of course, this a material fact, but it's seen also in every act of showing our love to her. And material things, when possible are part of show we love them.

I've been thinking about this at the end of this day, and feels good.

Good night!
