...And here we are, enjoying the last night in Atlantida, the place we choose for our vacations this year. And we loved once again!!
Beaches, night, food, drinks, music... A lot of things to take in our suitcases.
Anyway, we are looking forward for next days, when we will visit some coasts of Rocha, another great place in Uruguay.
Tomorrow? Well, Shangrila for a day, back to Piriapolis for another day (that's to put some things in order) and Shangrilá again. I hope not to be tired after all this trekking!! :LOL:
I have some pics to share. But I'm processing them. I promise to share them here.

Buen momento para escribir en mi querido Opera Blog: comencé mis vacaciones de verdad, aquí en
Atlántida.
Un lugar que nos encanta, a todos en mi familia. Por lo pintoresco, por lo prolijo, porque está cerca de todo, pero sin el bochinche y el loqueo que durante el año uno se empapa.
Este fue nuestro primer día, llegamos al hotel a media tarde, descansamos unos minutos y a comenzar a recorrer!!
Ya probamos cómo está la playa, caminamos por las calles del centro, y miramos algún espectáculo nocturno.
Así que desde hoy los estaré manteniendo al tanto con las vueltas que tengan que ver con este viajecito.

De esas cosas que me congelan unos segundos.
Hoy fui invitado en el liceo a acompañar a una recorrida por las clases por ciertas actividades que se llevarán a cabo por un organismo enfocado en la seguridad vial. Se me pidió mi colaboración por ser profesor de informática, ya que algunas actividades tienen que ver con esto.
El encargado de hablar, es el representante de este organismo en esta ciudad, y médico.
En un momento de su exposición se vuelve hacia mí preguntando "Tu eres Buydid, verdad?" A lo que obviamente respondí afirmativamente. "Tu tuviste un accidente hace un tiempo. Yo fui el médico que te asistió en ese entonces"
La verdad, hasta el día de hoy no había sabido quienes habían estado allí, en parte por toda la gente que se vio involucrada en los varios traslados, pero me provocó mucha gratitud poder estrechar la mano de una de estas personas que se interesaron en mi caso en aquel entonces.
El comentario dio pié para que comentara algunos detalles de mi curioso accidente, pero sobre todo, me permitió luego conversar un poco más con dicho médico.
La vida sigue. Sigo aquí. Y todavía hay gente a la que agradecer.

Every 24th august in Uruguay, we celebrate la "Noche de la nostalgia" (night of nostalgia). It's the party when more uruguayans go out to dance, celebrate or just remember in all the year. This movement began on 1978, and has not stopped.
Maybe you know I'm a little nostalgic, so this part of the year is special for me. I must confess I don't go out that night, but that week I take time in a special way: I watch old movies, listen to 80s and 90s music hits, watch old photos... Mmm! that's like traveling in time!!
Once time ago, I shared a post in one of the sites I manage. It's about the city where I live. I want to share it again, specially for those who don't know this party.

El cartel dice "no estacionar" pero nos hace suponer que que o bien la gente no sabe leer, o no han apendido español.
