Conversando hace un momento con Mauricio (http://my.opera.com/mrmxo/blog), me he puesto a recordar algunas canciones de aquí cerca nomás, ya que estamos en una semana de recuerdos.

Hoy de mañana puse un disco de Vilma Palma e Vampiros, de Argentina, y uno de esos temas: Bye Bye, me llevó bien lejos. ¡Cuánto me gustó siempre ese tema!

Hoy ha estado lloviendo desde la madrugada, suavecito, pero lluvia al fin, y la mezcla de lluvia con oldies me está poniendo difuso.

Chatting with Mauricio (http://my.opera.com/mrmxo/blog) a moment ago, I've remember soma songs from close of my country, in this week of memories.

Today morning I listened to Vilma Palma e Vampiros, from Argentina, and one of their songs: Bye, Bye carried me so far from my place. How I loved that song!

Today is raining here since early in the morning, too slow, but rain after all. and the mix of rain and oldies is making me fade...

Me encanta sentarme a escuchar música. Y en realidad, me gustan muchos géneros, más allá de tener mis preferencias. Relacionado a esto, dedico tiempo a investigar música de distintas partes del mundo. Aunque no soy un experto, trato de buscarle el sentido a los estilos que caracterizan distintas zonas del mundo.

Hoy quiero brindarles un poco de música local, música uruguaya.

Son varios los estilos folklóricos de mi país. El candombe ha de ser, tal vez, el estilo autóctono más nuestro. Parte de la expresión de la influencia africana, que llegó a estas zonas a través de la esclavitud. La gran herencia que hemos recibido de estos habitantes "a la fuerza", que en cierto momento fueron un grupo muy importante en cantidad en nuestras tierras (y a través de su expresión, también en calidad), dejaron su marca a través de la música.

Lo que les dejo no es candombe, es lo que acá consideramos música popular, pero tiene trazas de algunos ritmos que son afines, caracterizados por tambores. Después les comento más de quienes lo cantan.

I love to sit down and listening to music. And actually, I like many genres, beyond my own preferences. Related to this, I dedicate time to investigate music from around the world. Although I am not an expert, I try to find the meaning of styles that characterize different parts of the world.

Today I want to share with you a bit of my local music, Uruguayan music.

There are several styles of my country folk. "Candombe" has to be, perhaps, the most important native style. Part of the expression of the African influence, which arrived in these areas through slavery. The great legacy we have received from these people, which at one time were a very important group in quantity in our lands (and through his culture, also in quality), left their mark through music.

What I leave here is not candombe, here is what we consider popular music, but has traces of some rhythms that are similar to it, characterized by drums. Next days I'll tell you more about those who sing.

Hi everybody!

I'm finishing this part of my job today. Seems all my clients are out of the city ! So I'm going home early today. That's good, because I'm so tired. This one was a busy busy week, and still not ends!

Sun days are passing, and the rain comes right now Well, some rain it's good!, But sun is better

I think some of my friends will agree: if it rains, it will be fine to listen to great music... I'm thinking about Enya, McKennit, Vangelis, Kitaro..... And it will be fine to find old things stored in boxes somewhere in the house too. I love to find things from the past and travel to that time.

Well, I have to go.
