I try to give time to my family. For me and for my family is an important thing. It's not easy, because sometimes time is not enough (or it seems). But we try to remember it always and WORK is not the first thing in our list.

Your last sentence makes me feel you really need him, and would like a lot to spend great times with him... I hope this conversation don't hurt you...

May be there is a solution. There is always a solution, the thing is to find it.

I understand. I'm doing my own business too, and when I started doing this job, I had no time to share with my family. It's not easy for a husband or a father to control time and all the things family needs. Balance is an easy word, but not easy to apply. Actual days are difficult, and money is something we need to live, and feel secure. Even when that's not everything, we can't control time for other activities. Even today, I find it's hard for me to dedicate time for my family or my health. It's harder when someone has its own business.

In my case, I know sometimes I work tooo much, and my family needs me then. My wife sometimes helps me to know that. So, is a "family job", to spend time together. We try to spend weekends in family.

Right now, my wife is working too. We use to work more in this season, summertime, because the city is full of tourists, and tourism is our main activity in this city. So, while she works, I take care of my little princess, and because my job is not so hard as the rest of the year, I can do it well.

I tell all this because I think I understand the circumstances of your father. Anyway I understand your needs, too. I'm sure your parents are fantastic, you have shown it through many posts. Have you even told this needs to them? I don't know if that's possible there, families are different around the world... But comunication is key.

If he made a promise, surely he will do right! Meanwhile, you can do what I'm sure you do, follow the teaching of your parents, learn from them, and give what they deserve, showing appreciation.
