I have started a poll, as a personal investigation. If you use Twitter from a Third party application, you can vote here: http://twtpoll.com/26ggz8

Anyway, I keep alive 4 personal blogs (at blogspot, livejournal, here my favourite MyOpera and Yahoo). I have to write in other 3 blogs or comunities sites (my business, the institute where I'm the webmaster and another site I own). Ah! Twitter: 3 accounts: @piriapolis, @infobytes and @pbuydid
Too much???

It's ok, but that Digsby thing seems
pbuydid # 9. July 2009, 03:37
I used for some time Opera widget, and many others. I still have it installed. But some times it made slow my browser (I use to have tens of tabs opened) and since then I used Digsby.
Opera Widget is a nice choice anyway and it promotes the Opera Spirit!

i had tried blogspot and livejournal and some communities but i love opera most and now just follow it
Share the secret key
pbuydid # 9. July 2009, 13:54
No! It's not top secret
The key is that is my job. I have to work with internet most of my time, and so I'm almost always in front of a computer, even in classrooms.
But most important, is to make a time planning, as I teach my students:
- Define what kind of things do you want to write about in each comunity or blog.
- Define a day of the week, or time of day, to write in each of them.
- Define a day to search things interesting to post
- Try to make it a routine, part of your life, and give it a relative importance, a funny sense and motivation. Make friends and share things with them.
- Make different kind of content in each account, and so avoid boring yourself of the same things always.
- Alternate with other activities to rest your mind (excercise, open air activities, other studies, etc)
MMM, It seems I came back to classes, I thought I would not give classes in vacations

I have wondered something similar in some times.
I have found many responses, but I must tell by myself.
I have 3 twitter accounts. 2 of them are because my business: I work with internet and I have to be sharing my news. I have found that Twitter resolves many critical things that an internet worker have to take in mind:
- Use it as a link to your main page or service.
- Keep people informed about news of your business, on a fast mode (tweets have no more than 140 characters long)
- It helps A LOT to have a good Google Rank of your pages (used wisely with other services)
- It's a way to show your contacts and customers that you are working to incorporate new services, and taking care for the information dedicated to them.
Anyway, I have the third account, and that is personal: just to keep in touch with people who don't want to follow my "business updates"
And I must admit it: as every social service in the net, there are people who abuses from it. I recieve dozen of request to "add" and "follow" new friends. Sometimes, just for a reason of count with a looong list of friends. I'm opposite to popularity in this kind of services, in a personal mode, but I see this happens not just in Twitter, but also in Opera, Facebook, and even Instant Messengers like MSN and Yahoo: you find contacts you've never knew!
I think there would be nice to have all services united, one big service to chat, one big service to post.... But that would kill the creativity and the right to choice of people.
No way... we'll keep counting those kind of problems.
Nice day to you!

anyway, its such a cute and lovely manner
i appreciate what you have shared with your students and me. They are good suggestions for me.
well, i think what you have done to join such sites is a good way to market and promote yours. Twitter, Facebook are easy and fast way to connect with people and especially for business. So, such people like me, who just want a place to share and make friends will find more approriate communities and enjoy such as My opera. If one day i do my own business, your expriences will be very good and useful for me.
Thanks for sharing
PS: Hi April, nice to see you here
Aprilsnow # 13. July 2009, 02:41
Hi Lihn, nice to see you around too and thanks for your kind comment on my blog, I will visit you later...
pbuydid # 13. July 2009, 08:57
To make friends, or keeping in touch, I think MyOpera is very nice. When you have your own business, you'll have to tell me, OK? (BTW, it's not an obligation to have a business, secretaries, assistants, and even teachers like me find these ways of comunication a gift an useful tools)
It was a very nice weekend. Hope it was the same to you.
@April: It's a pleasure to have this conversation with you too. I think the same I told Linh in last comment. MyOpera is a great place for keep friends, and keep a nice blog. I found you have your blog updated, and even if I can't read some articles (because I don't read chinese) it looks very nice, shows your interest, and you are doing fine, as I can see. Great!
Have a nice day.
