I'm starting to wonder if my mom is actually serious about this family reunion. Don't get me wrong, she keeps giving me the names of family members she wants to track down. Probably over thirty so far! Good thing I found this awesome people search blog. There's a lot of really useful links there. But my Mom still hasn't even set a date. I'm starting to wonder if she's actually just tracking down these relatives for her own nefarious purposes! I also gave her this useful link to getting travel assistance, but she hasn't even looked at it yet. Weird. I promised you a rant about the media, but the thing is, what's awesome about blogging is that it's totally a people-powered media, you know? Like, that blog is one random person out there on the interwebz who has a thing for tracking down people, so she posts some really useful link. So much better than the trash that my sister reads in her dumb, gossipy, big media magazines. See, when a person helps you, you'll find good stuff; when a big corporate machine "helps" you, you're screwed.
