For three years, Andrew Paxton has slaved as the assistant to Margaret Tate, hard-driving editor at a New York publisher. Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is the executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company, Colden Books, who forces her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to avoid being deported to Canada. He grudgingly accepts, under the condition that he is promoted to the position of editor. When the government investigates, the two are forced to spend the weekend with his parents in Alaska in order to sell the lie. The family suggest they could marry the same weekend, and they reluctantly accept. They start to fall genuinely in love as they spend more and more time together. Because of this, during the wedding ceremony, Margaret decides she cannot do this to Andrew and confesses the business arrangement in front of everyone--including the immigration officer handling their case. She is then told that she has 24 hours to get back to Canada, and thus goes back to New York to pack her things. Upon doing so, however, Andrew shows up at the office and confesses his love for her in front of the entire office staff, proposing marriage all over again.
When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. An elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe, operating out of The Pit, takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.
The film opens in France, in 1641. The Scotsman Klan McCullen has been accused of selling weaponry to both the Scots and French. Rather than being executed for treason, the jury brands his face with a white-hot mask in order to humiliate him. In the near future, weapons expert James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston) has created a nanotechnology-based weapon capable of destroying an entire city. His company MARS sells four warheads to NATO, and the U.S. Army is tasked with delivering the warheads. Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are delivering the warheads when they are ambushed by the Baroness (Sienna Miller), who Duke recognized to be his ex-fiancee Ana Lewis. Duke and Ripcord are rescued by Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). They take the warheads to The Pit, G.I. Joe's command center in North Africa, and upon arriving rendezvous with General Hawk (Dennis Quaid), the head of the G.I. Joe Team. Hawk takes command of the war-heads and excuses Duke and Ripcord, only to be convinced to have them join his group after Duke reveals that he knows the Baroness.

McCullen is revealed to be using the same nanotechnology to build an army of soldiers with the aid of the Doctor (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), planning on using the warheads to bring panic and bring about a new world order. Using a tracking device, McCullen locates the G.I. Joe base and sends Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun) and the Baroness to retrieve the warheads with assistance from Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), inflicting casualties on several G.I. Joe soldiers. After a fight, Storm Shadow and the Baroness retrieve the warheads and take them to Baron DeCobray, the Baroness's husband, for him to weaponize and use them to destroy the Eiffel Tower to serve as a showing of the warhead's destructive power. Making their way to Paris, the Joes pursue them through the streets but are unsuccessful in stopping them from launching the missile. Duke manages to hit the kill switch, but in doing so he is captured and taken to McCullen's base under the Arctic.

G.I. Joe locates the secret base and fly there as McCullen loads three missiles with nano-mite warheads. After Snake Eyes takes out one, Ripcord pursues the remaining missiles in a prototype Night Raven jet while Scarlett and her group infiltrate the base. While Scarlett and Snake Eyes attempt to shut down the Arctic base, with Heavy Duty leading an attack on Cobra's forces, Duke learns that the Doctor is Rex Lewis, Ana's brother believed to have been killed on a mission led by Duke four years ago. He was trapped in a bunker with Doctor Mindbender (Kevin O'Connor), disfigured in the blast which everyone presumed had killed him. The Baroness tries to free Duke but the Doctor reveals he has implanted her with nano-mites which has put her under his control for the past four years, admitting his amazement that she is resisting the programming. Attempting to kill Duke, McCullen ends up being facially burned as he flees with Rex to an escape vessel. Duke and the Baroness pursue him while the Joes fall back when Rex activated the base's self destruct sequence.

Rex then heals McCullen's burned face with nano-mites, encasing it in silver as he christens McCullen "Destro" and assumes the identity of Cobra Commander before they are captured by G.I. Joe soon after. On board the supercarrier USS Flagg, Baroness is placed in protective custody until they can remove the nano-mites from her body. Meanwhile, Zartan, having been earlier operated on by Rex, infiltrates the White House during the missile crisis and assumes the identity of the President of the United States (Jonathan Pryce).

The suspects in the killings are a young white couple, and when Cliff and Cydney meet Nick's frees-spirited girlfriend Gina (Kiele Sanchez), tensions start to rise. The further the foursome walk together, the more delicate the balance of trust and suspicion becomes.

After it looks as if she's left his life for good this time, Tom Hansen reflects back on the just over one year that he knew Summer Finn. Despite being physically average in almost every respect, Summer had always attracted the attention of men, Tom included. For Tom, it was love at first sight when she walked into the greeting card company where he worked, she the new administrative assistant. Soon, Tom knew that Summer was the woman with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life. Although Summer did not believe in relationships or boyfriends - in her assertion, real life will always ultimately get in the way - Tom and Summer became more than just friends. Through the trials and tribulations of Tom and Summer's so-called relationship, Tom could always count on the advice of his two best friends, McKenzie and Paul. However, it is Tom's adolescent sister, Rachel, who is his voice of reason. After all is said and done, Tom is the one who ultimately has to make the choice to listen or not.
(500) Days of Summer is presented in a non-chronological format, each scene being introduced by which of the 500 days it is. The plot as given here has been rearranged in chronological order. It is important to note cinematographically that the film opens with day 488 the scene where Tom and Summer are seated at a bench and the audience sees Summer's ringed finger as the two hold hands. Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is in a meeting when his boss (Clark Gregg) introduces the board room to Summer (Zooey Deschanel), his new assistant. He is immediately taken by Summer's beauty. Tom talks to his friends about how much he likes Summer. While at first he plays things cool, he is convinced she is "the one" after an exchange in the elevator over their mutual love of the Smiths. He spends two weeks pining over her and executing awkward attempts to initiate conversation, but can't hit a chord. An opportunity arises when Tom's best friend tells him that the entire office is going to a karaoke bar the following evening. Tom arrives at the bar as his best friend is singing. He sees Summer and she seems happy to see him. Summer goes up and sings while Tom drinks with his friend and watches Summer. Summer then gets Tom a little drunk and has him sing karaoke. Afterwards, the three sit together and talk about relationships and love, during which Tom and Summer argue over whether or not love is real, with Summer saying it isn't while Tom says it is. The two agree to disagree. While helping Tom's friend to a cab, Tom's friend blurts out that Tom likes Summer and the two are left on the sidewalk. Summer asks if it is true and Tom, after some coaxing from Summer, says that he likes her (but adds "as friends"). Summer calls him "very interesting" and leaves Tom standing there on the sidewalk. The next day at work, she kisses him in the copy room. Once Summer's copies are finished, she simply ignores Tom and leaves the copy room. Summer and Tom go out and have fun in the city. As they spend more time together, they become closer. Summer shares her most intimate thoughts and stories with him, while Tom takes her to his favorite spot in the city and tells her about how he was studying to become an architect before he ran out of money and was forced to work for the Card Company to sustain himself. As the two walk around Ikea, they joke about living as a married couple in the store's demonstration rooms, but as they're about to kiss on a bed in a store, Summer makes it clear that she isn't looking for anything serious. They return to Tom's bedroom and start to make out on his bed. He goes into the bathroom and convinces himself that it's just casual fun, reminding himself to just take it slow. As he walks out, however, he sees her lying naked under the covers. He walks out the next morning, dancing and upbeat. He's in love with Summer and on top of the world. After a singing and dancing scene, Tom arrives at work and starts suggesting high quality copy for cards, all the while thinking of Summer. Things go well for a few weeks. However, one night in a bar, a random guy starts hitting on Summer. She makes it clear she isn't interested, but he won't believe she's with Tom. After taking some more insults, Tom stands up and punches the guy. He awkwardly smiles at Summer before the guy gets up and beats him down. She takes Tom to her apartment and yells at him since she thought he was not acting cool at all and did it for his own sense of self. Tom starts fighting back. He yells that everything they are doing isn't a friendship, and that even though she doesn't want to label things, he thinks that they're in a relationship because Summer isn't the only one who gets a say. He storms out. The two go to bed. Tom contemplates calling her, but doesn't. She comes to his apartment and apologizes. The two have a heart to heart and share their past relationships. She tells him about her bisexual experience, her first relationship and her relationship with "The Puma". The two seem happy. Weeks pass. Summer and Tom go out and see a film. She starts crying as she sees the ending of The Graduate, as Dustin Hoffman and Katharine Ross escape a wedding and their looks of joy and excitement slowly vanish. Summer tells Tom that she's exhausted and wants to sleep, but Tom convinces her to go get pancakes with him. Whilst waiting for their order, Summer blurts out that she thinks they should stop seeing each other. Tom is taken aback and asks why if they were so happy. Summer says that she isn't happy. As the pancakes arrive, Tom stands up and leaves. Summer tells him not to leave because he is still her best friend. Tom's friends call his little sister, Rachel, who bikes to his apartment. Tom is upset and she makes him explain what happened. He recounts the break up. He is adamant that he doesn't want to get over her, but get her back. His depression worsens and begins to affect his work. His boss calls him in and he asks if Tom's performance is related to Summer leaving. Tom tries to play it off, but his boss tells him that everyone knows. It is made clear that Summer also quit her job at the card company. Months pass. One of Tom's co-workers is getting married. He takes the train to go to the wedding and sees Summer. He tries to hide, but she sees him and approaches. They talk and go get a coffee. The entire weekend is spent together. At the wedding, he asks her to dance and they have a very romantic night together. She invites Tom to a party on at her place. Tom is hopeful. Tom's expectations for the night are to make his dreams a reality. However, as he arrives at the party, the differences between his dream night and that night are hauntingly apparent. He barely talks to Summer and finds comfort with the bottle. He then sees Summer showing off her ring and her fiance. Tom loses it. He leaves without a word, angry and hurt that Summer would treat him like this. Tom spends the next 5 days in a catatonic state. He leaves the apartment once to buy orange juice, Twinkies and Jack Daniel's. He eventually returns to work, just in time for the weekly presentations. His best friend reminds him that today is the day they present their pitches for new cards. Halfway through the presentation, Tom decides that his beliefs of love, fate, and relationships were wrong. He gives the board a passionate speech about how their company is comfortable feeding people lies and that they are the reason people have such unrealistic expectations. He quits and leaves. The board is left stunned as his best friend awkwardly claps at his friend's departure. Tom is seen struggling with his depression. He slowly begins to take steps to help himself. Rachel tells him that he should take a second look at Summer and Tom's relationship and stop ignoring the bad. He realizes that there was always something Summer was holding back and kept her from truly being "in" the relationship. He begins to take up architecture again. He trashes his apartment and begins drawing on the walls and designing. He slowly builds up a portfolio and makes a list of firms to present his work at. One by one he is rejected. Once the firms dwindle to a handful, Tom begins to lose hope. Tom goes to the bench at his favorite part of the city. He's gazing down at some of the buildings when Summer calls out to him. She compliments his looks and tells him she knows he's angry. She also tells him that she's happy to see he's doing alright. Tom confesses that he now realizes that all his ideas about love were wrong. Summer points out that it wasn't. The girl who didn't want to be anyone's girlfriend was now someone's wife. She tells him that with her husband, she knew what she was never sure of with Tom: that she was in love with him and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She also tells Tom that if there's no destiny, she might have easily never randomly met him in a deli. She tells Tom he was right, but just not about her. She holds his hand and squeezes before telling him that she needs to go. Tom tells her he's happy that she's happy, but makes a point not to congratulate her on her marriage. She smiles and leaves Tom. Tom is on his way to a job interview. As he sits there, waiting to be interviewed, a girl across the waiting room calls out to him and asks if they've met. She tells him that she's seen him sitting on a bench in Tom's favorite spot, which is coincidentally her favorite spot as well. Tom says he's never seen her before, so she replies that he clearly wasn't looking. Tom jokes that since she's the competition he hopes she doesn't get the job. She returns the wish. The interviewer calls Tom in, but as he's walking he turns back and asks the girl to get some coffee afterwards. She tells him that she is meeting someone. However, as Tom turns around, she agrees and says they'll work it out. Tom smiles and introduces himself. She smiles and introduces herself. Her name is Autumn. Day 1.

In 1990, a massive star ship bearing a bedraggled alien population, nicknamed "The Prawns," appeared over Johannesburg, South Africa. Twenty years later, the initial welcome by the human population has faded. The refugee camp where the aliens were located has deteriorated into a militarized ghetto called District 9, where they are confined and exploited in squalor. In 2010, the munitions corporation, Multi-National United, is contracted to forcibly evict the population with operative Wikus van der Merwe in charge. In this operation, Wikus is exposed to a strange alien chemical and must rely on the help of his only two new 'Prawn' friends.
The film opens with a documentary-style series of interviews that introduce the situation. Twenty years before, an alien ship is seen coming towards Earth and arrives above Johannesburg, South Africa. It hovers above the city for three months without any contact; eventually humans take the initiative and cut into the ship. They discover a large group of aliens who are malnourished and sick. The aliens are later assessed as apparently being all "workers", with their leadership mysteriously missing (it is hypothesized that a plague may have wiped out all of the leadership-caste). Grainy footage shows part of the ship (supposed to be a command module) falling to Earth, but nobody has been able to find it, leaving the ship inoperable.

The creatures, called "prawns" as a derogatory reference to the sea creature which they resemble, are housed in a government camp. The alien race's true name is never learned; they are primarily referred to as "prawns" or, more rarely, "non-humans". Overcrowding and militarization eventually turn the area into a slum known as District 9. A massive black market is set up between the aliens and a group of Nigerians primarily led by Mumbo, a paralyzed warlord. In addition to inter-species prostitution, the Nigerians exchange canned cat food for alien weapons, of which the cat food has a similar effect to catnip on the aliens.

The movie takes place in 2010. Patience over the alien situation has run out and control over them has been contracted to Multi-National United (MNU), a private company that shows little regard for the aliens' welfare. MNU is interested in using the aliens' advanced weaponry, but its integration with alien biology makes it useless for humans.

An MNU field operative named Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley), is set with a task to move 1.8 million aliens to a new District 10 camp located 240 km from Johannesburg, with help from private security forces working for MNU. While inspecting a suspicious alien residence, Wikus handles an alien device which squirts a dark liquid into his face. He becomes very sick and collects the device as evidence.

A rapid transformation begins to occur, and shortly after exposure to the liquid, Wikus's left arm mutates into a claw exactly like that of a prawn. After collapsing at a surprise party in his house, and a doctor at a local hospital discovers his alien left arm, Wikus is taken into custody and a series of tests and experiments are performed on him; these reveal that his alien DNA allows him to operate alien weapons. The scientists discover that his DNA is currently "in balance" with the alien DNA, which is gradually taking over. They decide to harvest his body for biological material at this critical point, to have the greatest chance of replicating his ability to use alien technology in other humans later. To reduce any side-effects, no anesthetic was used. However, during the attempted vivisection Wikus escapes after overpowering his captors, and flees from MNU.

Wikus seeks refuge in the run-down shack of an alien called Christopher Johnson, who has a small son, the same alien who Wikus attempted to evict earlier, who created the alien device that infected Wikus. The device contains fuel that Christopher scavenged from various alien parts scattered around District 9. It is hinted that Christopher might be a surviving member of the prawn leadership caste, as he shows much more knowledge of how alien technology works, possesses or at least found the command module, and interacts with MNU officials more articulately than other aliens. Although initially hostile towards Wikus, Christopher eventually agrees to help him reverse the transformation if Wikus will retrieve the fuel from MNU labs. Christopher promises to undo the mutation by getting Wikus aboard the mother ship hovering over Johannesburg, and shows Wikus the ship's command module, which has been hidden under his shack.

Wikus steals some alien weaponry from Mumbo and his gang, with Mumbo vowing to capture Wikus and eat his mutated arm (his witch doctor believes this will give him the power to operate the alien weaponry). With Christopher's help they launch an assault on MNU and successfully retrieve the fuel sample. While there, Christopher discovers that MNU has been experimenting on his people. Wikus and Christopher fight their way back to District 9 and Christopher begins preparations to leave. He tells Wikus that he must first return to his home world to seek help for his people before he can cure Wikus. Furious, Wikus knocks Christopher unconscious and powers up the ship himself. The MNU mercenaries target Wikus and destroy one of the command module's engines, causing it to crash land inside District 9.

After Wikus is captured by MNU, a battle between the MNU mercenaries and Mumbo's gang breaks out. After a protracted firefight, the Nigerians capture Wikus. Just before Wikus' arm is chopped off, Christopher's son activates several systems in the mothership, including the autopilot routine of a mechanized battle suit; it slaughters Mumbo and his men after they fire on it. Wikus enters the alien walker battle suit, and after initially attempting to flee, returns and rescues Christopher. Armed with a lightning cannon, tracking missiles, and a high-powered machine gun, Wikus begins to fight the MNU men. After being knocked over by a anti-tank sniper round, he convinces Christopher to return to the shuttle without him, over Christopher's objections. Christopher promises Wikus that he will return in three years to repair his body. Christopher then boards the shuttle and activates a tractor beam which returns the command module to the mother ship.

Wikus is shot in the back and the walker suit ejects him. Wikus, heavily wounded, begins dragging himself away from the leader (and sole survivor) of an MNU squad, but is quickly caught. As Wikus prepares to die, aliens burst out of the surrounding slums and dismember the mercenary.

The film concludes with another series of interviews and news broadcasts, providing human opinions on the events that unfolded. The aliens are successfully moved to District 10, which now has a population of 2.5 million and is growing. One of Wikus' coworkers hacks MNU's database and publicly exposes their illegal genetic experiments. There are many differing theories on Wikus' fate. Some people believe that he either left on the mother ship, is in hiding, was captured by MNU or a government agency. Some interviewees hypothesize that the aliens are planning to return with a full army and declare war on humanity. An interview with Wikus' wife reveals a small metal rose was left on her doorstep (Wikus has earlier demonstrated his affection with handmade gifts). Her friends have told her that it could not have possibly been Wikus, but she appears unsure. In the final scene, an alien with a bandaged left arm is shown in a junk yard fashioning a rose out of scrap metal.

منطقه بندر عباس و قشم از مناطق زلزله خیز ایران محسوب می شود

زمین لرزه نسبتا شدیدی نواحی جنوبی ایران را لرزاند و چند نفر را زخمی کرد.

ساعت 3 و 56 دقیقه بامداد روز چهارشنبه، 4 نوامبر (13 آبان)، وقوع زمین لرزه ای به بزرگی چهار ممیز نه دهم درجه در مقیاس ریشتر نواحی بندر عباس و جزیره قشم، واقع در استان هرمزگان در جنوب ایران را لرزاند.

موسسه ژئو فیزیک دانشگاه تهران مرکز زمین لرزه را حوالی بندر عباس گزارش کرده است.

وقوع زمین لرزه باعث قطع برق و اختلال موقت در شبکه تلفن شهر بندر عباس و وحشت ساکنان این شهر و جزیره قشم شد.

به گزارش خبرگزاری ها، بسیاری از ساکنان وحشتزده مناطق زلزله زده از خانه های خود خارج شدند و به خیابان ها ریختند.

خبرگزاری دولتی ایران - ایرنا - به نقل از منابع پزشگی منطقه گفته است که زلزله بامداد چهارشنبه باعث زخمی شدن حدود دویست نفر شد که بسیاری از آنان با عوارض ناشی از استرس و صدمات روحی به بیمارستان ها مراجعه کردند.

اکثر زخمی های زمین لرزه به صورت سرپایی مداوا شدند اما تعدادی نیز برای مداوای جراحات جدی تر در بیمارستان های بستری هستند.

به نقل از فرماندار بندر عباس گزارش شده است که خسارات زلزله در این شهر گسترده نیست و عمدتا شامل تخریب دیوارهای خانه های قدیمی تر است.

تاکنون گزارشی از تلفات جانی این زمین لرزه در بندر عباس و قشم مخابره نشده است.

منطقه بندر عباس و جزیره قشم از جمله مناطق زلزله خیز ایران است و در سال های اخیر، چند زمین لرزه نسبتا شدید در این منطقه ثبت شده است.

چهار سال پیش وقوع زمین لرزه ای در بندر عباس و قشم به کشته شدن ده نفر و زخمی شدن بیش از یکصد نفر منجر شد و خسارات گسترده ای را به تعدادی از روستاهای منطقه وارد آورد.

بارش مصنوعی برف و باران در چین امری معمول است

متخصصان هواشناسی در پکن برای مقابله با خشکسالی در چین با پخش ذرات یدید نقره در ابرهای باران زا باعث بارش زودرس برف در این کشور شده اند.

چنین بارش برف زودهنگامی در ده سال گذشته در چین بی سابقه بوده است.

به گزارش رسانه های چینی متخصصان کنترل آب و هوای این کشور قصد داشتند با پخش 186 واحد از ماده شیمیایی مذکور در ابرهای باران زا باعث بارش باران شوند تا به گندمکاران این کشور کمک شود.

اما ورود یک جبهه هوای سرد باعث بارش شدید برف و اخلال در ترافیک خیابانها، راه آهن و مسافرتهای هوایی شد.

تولید باران با پخش مواد شیمیایی در ابرها در چین اقدامی معمول به شمار می رود.

شمال چین با مشکل بی آبی و خشکسالی روبروست در حالی که جنوب این کشور اغلب دچار سیل زدگی می شود.

اما استان انهویی که از ماه سپتامبر دچار خشکسالی بوده، در دو روز گذشته شاهد بارش 4 سانتیمتر باران بوده است.

در بسیاری از مناطق چین کشاورزان از سیستم آبرسانی مناسبی برخوردار نیستند و به همین دلیل بارش باران برای آنها امری حیاتی به شمار می رود.

در ماه فوریه هم مقامات چین برای مقابله با خشکسالی باعث بارش مصنوعی برف در پکن شدند.

دولت چین علاوه بر توسل به روشهای شیمیایی برای تولید برف و باران، احداث شبکه ای عظیم از تونل ها و آب راهها را آغاز کرده است که شمال و جنوب این کشور را به هم مرتبط خواهد کرد. هرچند این پروژه تا پنج سال دیگر تکمیل نخواهد شد.

در امارات متحده عربی نخستین روباتی که به زبان عربی سخن می گوید ساخته شده است، سازندگان این روبات نام ابن سینا، دانشمند ایرانی را بر آن نهاده اند.

این روبات در دانشگاه امارات متحده عربی در شهر العین، واقع در شیخ نشین ابوظبی، به دست تیمی به سرپرستی نیکولائوس ماوریدیس، استادیار یونانی این دانشگاه ساخته شده و سازندگانش امیدوارند ظرف شش ماه آینده آن را آماده عرضه در بازار کنند.

حدود سی دانشجوی دانشگاه امارات که بیشترشان اماراتی و ده نفرشان از کشورهای پاکستان، استرالیا، آمریکا و ایران هستند در ساخت روبات سهم داشته اند.

برای ساخت روبات پنجاه هزار درهم (حدود چهارده هزار دلار آمریکا) هزینه شده و سازندگانش می گویند در صورت تولید انبوه هر نمونه بیش از پنج هزار درهم هزینه برنخواهد داشت.

روبات ابن سینا به گونه ای طراحی شده که بتواند به عنوان راهنمای مشتریان در مراکز خرید به کار گرفته شود؛ این روبات می تواند به پرسشهای مشتریان به عربی فصیح پاسخ بگوید، به اینترنت وصل شود و اطلاعاتی را که مشتریان لازم دارند در اختیار آنان قرار دهد، این روبات یک روز کامل توانسته در یکی از مراکز خرید شهر العین این خدمات را به صورت آزمایشی عرضه کند.

روبات به شکلی ساخته و آراسته شده که به گفته سازندگانش، تا آنجا که ممکن است شبیه ابن سینا، دانشمند هزار سال پیش به نظر برسد، برای چهره اش هم شرکت آمریکایی هانسون روباتیکس در شیکاگو نرم افزارهایی طراحی کرده و موتورهایی ساخته که بتواند حالات چهره انسان را هنگام سخن گفتن به خود بگیرد، نرم افزار مخصوص سخن گفتن به عربی را هم شرکت فرانسوی آکاپلا طراحی کرده و حاصل تحقیقات نه ساله این شرکت روی ساخت نرم افزار سخنگو به زبان عربی است.

در دانشگاه امارات، بیش از یک سال روی این روبات کار شده تا بتواند ببیند، چهره ها و اشیا را تشخیص دهد، گفتگو کند، گفتار را به نوشتار تبدیل کند و کلمات و جملات را بفهمد و پاسخ گوید، سازندگانش می گویند این روبات در حد یک کودک سه ساله توانایی ارتباط برقرار کردن با انسانها را دارد.

این روبات صفحه ای هم در فیس بوک دارد که از طریق آن با کاربران این شبکه مرتبط شده است.

روبات ابن سینا هفته گذشته در نمایشگاه بین المللی محصولات نرم افزاری (جی تکس) در دوبی به نمایش گذاشته شد و نیکولائوس ماوریدیس، سرپرست تیم سازنده روبات به خبرنگاران گفته که شرکتهای مختلفی برای خرید روبات و به کارگیری آن در مراکز خرید علاقه نشان داده اند.

آقای ماوریدیس در مورد نامگذاری این روبات گفته: "نام ابن سینا را به این دلیل انتخاب کردیم که می خواستیم ارزشهای او را برای دانشجویانمان احیا کنیم و فرهنگها و سنتهای مختلف را، از گذشته و حال یکجا جمع کنیم".

با اینکه به نظر می رسد این نامگذاری با نگاهی مثبت به شخصیت ابن سینا صورت گرفته، اما با توجه به حساسیتهایی که به این شخصیت نامدار علمی و تاریخی وجود دارد انتظار می رود سلیقه سازندگان روبات ابن سینا در نامگذاری، اعتراضاتی به همراه بیاورد.

ابن سینا برای مردم گستره ای جغرافیایی که تمامی خاورمیانه و آسیای میانه را در بر می گیرد، شخصیتی بزرگ و میراث تمدنی تاریخی است که به باور مورخان، از لحاظ علمی و فرهنگی بسیار پویا و پیشرو بوده است.

برای مردم ایران و دیگر فارسی زبانان، ابن سینا یکی از بزرگترین مفاخر فرهنگی است، این شخصیت علمی از دوران دبستان به عنوان بزرگترین دانشمند تاریخ ایران و نابغه ای سترگ به ایرانیان شناخته می شود که آثارش تا صدها سال در دانشگاههای ایران و جهان تدریس می شده است.

ابن سینا در فرهنگ ملتهای پارسی زبان حضور چشمگیری دارد و کمتر پارسی زبانی هست که او را نشناسد، شخصیت تاریخی او حتی با مبالغه های فراوان مورد توجه قرار دارد.

با در نظر گرفتن ویژگیهای فرهنگی پارسی زبانان، بعید به نظر می رسد که دیدن روباتی با نام و شمایل ابن سینا در حال کار در مرکز خرید برای این مردم خوشایند باشد.

از سوی دیگر، ملیت ابن سینا نیز همچون بسیاری از دیگر شخصیتهای علمی، فرهنگی و تاریخی سرزمینهای این خطه، مورد ادعای ملتهای مختلف وجود دارد.

بیشتر آثار ابن سینا به رسم روزگار وی که زبان عربی زبان انتقال علم و دانش بوده، به عربی نوشته شده و باعث شده که بسیاری از محققان غربی او را عرب بدانند، حتی در برخی فرهنگنامه های معتبر غربی از ابن سینا به عنوان دانشمندی عرب یاد شده است.

بسیاری از اعراب هم ابن سینا را عرب می دانند و حتی در گزارشهایی که در مورد روبات ابن سینا در رسانه های عربی زبان و انگلیسی زبان منطقه منتشر شده، از ابن سینا به عنوان دانشمندی عرب یاد شده، رسانه های غربی نیز با احتیاط، او را دانشمندی مسلمان بدون قید ملت وی ذکر کرده اند.

از سوی دیگر، بسیاری از ملتهای ترک زبان نیز به صرف اینکه زادگاه او، بخارا، هم اکنون در کشور ترک زبان ازبکستان قرار دارد، ابن سینا را از ترکان آسیای میانه می دانند، در منابع ترکیه، جمهوری آذربایجان و ملتهای ترک آسیای میانه از ابن سینا به عنوان دانشمندی ترک تبار یاد شده و دولت ازبکستان نیز رسماً نام ابن سینا را به عنوان یکی از مفاخر فرهنگی ازبک ثبت کرده است.

این در حالی است که هیچ گزارش و سند تاریخی که حاکی از ترک تبار یا عرب تبار بودن ابن سینا باشد تاکنون منتشر نشده و زادگاه او، بخارا نیز هنوز زیستگاه اکثریتی تاجیک است که به پارسی تاجیکی سخن می گویند، ابن سینا در خانواد ه ای از شیعیان اسماعیلیه به دنیا آمد و بیشتر عمر خود را در سرزمینهایی گذراند که در خاک ایران کنونی قرار دارند. او وزیر خاندان دیلمی (آل بویه) بود که از شیعیان زیدی بودند و بر بخش بزرگی از مناطق مرکزی و غربی ایران و همچنین عراق کنونی حکم می راندند.

در این میان، با توجه به حساسیتهایی که در ایران نسبت به مطرح شدن میراث و مفاخر ملی این کشور به نام دیگر ملتها وجود دارد، دور از انتظار نیست که انتشار گزارشهای مربوط به روبات ابن سینا هم به این حساسیتها دامن بزند و موجی از اعتراضات را برانگیزد.

حدود 70 درصد کسانی که اقدام به دانلود غیرقانونی می کنند بالای 35 سال سن دارند

نتایج یک نمونه گیری نشان می دهد کسانی که اقدام به دانلود غیرقانونی موسیقی می کنند بطور متوسط در سال بیش از 126 دلار برای خرید قانونی موسیقی هزینه می کنند.

این ارزیابی توسط موسسه مشاور بریتانیایی Demos انجام شده و نشان می دهد رقم صدف شده توسط این افراد حدود 54 دلار بیش از افرادی است که ادعا کرده اند هرگز بصور غیرقانونی موسیقی دانلود نکرده اند.

نتایج این ارزیابی چند روز پس از آن منتشر شده که پیتر مندلسون وزیر بازرگانی بریتانیا اعلام کرد قصد دارد سیاست اخطار و اخراجی سه مرحله ای را برای مقابله با کسانی که بطور غیرقانونی اقدام به دانلود موسیقی می کنند به اجرا درآورد، اما برخی کارشناسان با استناد به نتایج ارزیابی موسسه Demos استدلال می کنند که سیاست مورد نظر پیتر مندلسون عملا مشتریان اصلی صنعت موسیقی را مجازات می کند.

روزنامه ایندیپندنت اخیرا شمار کاربرانی که هر ساله در بریتانیا به طور غیرقانونی به دانلود موسیقی می پردازند را هفت میلیون نفر اعلام کرد که اتحادیه صنعت ضبط و پخش موسقی در بریتانیا (BPI) معتقد است ضرر ناشی از اقدامات این هفت میلیون نفر به بیش از 328 میلیون دلار در سال بالغ می شود.

بر اساس ارزیابی موسسه Demos حدود 10 درصد افراد 16 تا 50 ساله ای که مورد پرسش قرار گرفتند عنوان کردند که در مواردی بطور غیرقانونی موسیقی دانلود کرده اند.

با این حال حدود 80 درصد این افراد گفتند که از جمله سی‌دی، MP3 یا صفحه (vynil) موسیقی خریده اند.

در این نظر سنجی که به صورت آنلاین انجام شد 1008 فرد بریتانیایی شرکت کردند.

نیمی از شرکت کنندگان در نظرسنجی گفتند که بطور قانونی و از طریق سایت یوتیوب به موسیقی دست یافته اند و حدود 22 درصد هم گفتند که از رادیو های اینترنتی برای شنیدن موسیقی استفاده کرده اند.

البته تنها چهار درصد افراد شرکت کننده در نظر سنجی گفتند که از سایت Napster استفاده می کنن (که در امر به اشتراک گذاشتن موسیقی پیشرو محسوب می شود) و 21 درصد افراد گفتند که حتی نام آنرا نشنیده اند.

حدود 75 درصد از افراد 16 تا 24 ساله برای خرید MP3 ابراز آمادگی کردند که اکثر افراد شرک کننده در نظرسنجی قیمت تقریبی 73 سنت را به عنوان قیمت ناسب برای هر قطعه دانستند و تنها دو درصد افراد گفتند که حاضرند بیش از 1.6 دلار (یک پوند) برای هر قطعه موسیقی خرج کنند.

این در حالی است که آهنگ Fight for this Love از چریل کول، خواننده بریتانیایی که اخیرا در صدر جدول آهنگ های پرفروش قرار گرفته بود با قیمتی تقریبا برابر با یک پوند در آی تیونز و 1.3 دلار (79 پنس) در آمازون به فروش رسید.

پیتر بردول، یک پژوهشگر در موسسه Demos گفت: "سیاستمداران و شرکت های تولید موسیقی باید درک کنند که ذات نحوه مصرف موسیقی (به عنوان یک کالا) تغییر کرده و مصرف کنندگان به دنبال قیمت پایینتر و دسترسی راحت تر به موسیقی هستند."

آقای لوی-اشتراوس که یکی از تاثیرگذارترین متفکران فرانسوی قرن بیستم بود

کلود لوی-اشتراوس، انسان شناس مشهور فرانسوی در سن یکصد سالگی درگذشته است.

آقای اشتراوس که یکی از تاثیرگذارترین متفکران فرانسوی قرن بیستم بود، از بنیانگذاران مکتب انسان شناسی ساختارگرایانه در دهه پنجاه میلادی بود.

کتاب های "اندیشه وحشی" و "خام و پخته" از مشهورترین نوشته های آقای اشتراوس هستند.

آقای اشترواس روش های ساختارگرایانه زبان شناسان را در علم انسان شناسی به کار برد و بر این باور بود که روابط خانوادگی و سیستم های اعتقادی را می توان به عنوان ساختارهای پیچیده مرتبط با هم مورد بررسی قرار داد.

آقای اشتراوس در دهه سی میلادی به برزیل رفت تا تحقیقات میدانی خود را در میان سرخپوست های آمازون انجام دهد.

پس از جنگ جهانی دوم کلود لوی اشتراوس به آمریکا رفت تا به تدریس بپردازد. او در آمریکا با فرانتز بواس، از انسان شناس های مشهور دوره خود آشنا شد و تحت تاثیر افکار او قرار گرفت.

او سپس در اواخر دهه چهل به فرانسه برگشت تا مدرک دکترای خود را بگیرد.

انتشار چند کتاب مطرح به وسیله آقای اشتراوس در دهه پنجاه باعث شد به عنوان یک متفکر برجسته در سراسر جهان شناخته شود.

کلود لوی-اشتراوس در سال ۱۹۵۹ به کرسی استادی انسان شناسی اجتماعی کالج فرانسه برگزیده شد و در سال ۱۹۶۲ کتاب اندیشه وحشی را چاپ کرد که تقدیر محافل علمی را به همراه داشت.

مرگ آقای اشتراوس روز سه شنبه به وسیله ناشرش اعلام شد.

اروپا یک ماموریت فضایی بزرگ را به اجرا گذاشته است که هدفش درک نحوه گردش آب در کره زمین است.

ماهواره "اسموس" توسط موشکی که در دوران اتحاد جماهیر شوروی ساخته شده است، امروز (2 نوامبر)، از پایگاهی فضایی در شمال روسیه به مدار زمین فرستاده شد.

انتظار می رود این سفینه فضایی تاثیر بزرگی بر اطلاعات لازم برای پیش بینی آب و هوا و وضعیت اقلیمی داشته باشد.

طرح ماهواره اسموس پانزده سال در دست تهیه بوده است و این ماهواره با خود وسیله ای بدیع را حمل می کند که به آن قیافه ای مانند یک هلیکوپتر فضایی را می دهد.

وسیله مذکور میراس نام دارد.

این سفیه فضایی میزان رطوبت موجود در خاک و شوری آب اقیانوس ها را اندازه گیری می کند.

این مشخصه ها به دانشمندان در باره تبادل آب که مادام میان سطح کره زمین و جو کره زمین صورت می گیرد، اطلاعات می دهد.

این اطلاعات باید پیش بینی آب و هوا را دقیق تر کند.

گفته شده است که اگر کارشناسان آب و هوا می دانستند خاک اروپا در تابستان 2003 تا چه اندازه خشک است، بهتر می توانستند گرمای "جهنمی" آن تابستان را پیش بینی کنند.

درک میزان نمک آب دریاها نیز به کارشناسان در باره جریان های آبی در اقیانوس های جهان سرنخی هایی می دهد.

جاناتان ایموس، گزارشگر علمی بی بی سی می گوید سفیه فضایی که اروپا به مدار فرستاده است یکی از فضاپیماهایی اروپاست که کل کره زمین را تحت مطالعه خواهد داشت. وظیفه ای که برای فضاپیمایی که امروز به فضا پرتاب شد اندازه گیری رطوبت خاک و نمک آب اقیانوس هاست.

آژانس فضایی اروپا درصدد است در یک دهه آینده بیش از بیست ماهواره را به مدار زمین پرتاب کند که هزینه آن بیش از 10 میلیارد دلار خواهد بود.
