The unveiling of the BMW Z4 sDrive35iS with its tweaked twin-turbocharged straight six that produces an output of 340 ponies was accompanied by the announcement of the release of a new M-Sports package with aerodynamic, interior and suspension upgrades for the entire Z4 range.
The M aerodynamic body styling kit adds a newly designed front bumper and a reworked rear bumper with insert in Anthracite metallic. The exterior package is rounded off with 18-inch M light alloy wheels.
Inside, the Z4 M Sports models benefit from an array of features including leather upholstery as standard, body-hugging sports seats, anthracite head lining, special trim on the dashboard and door panels, M leather gearknob, a thick-rimmed steering wheel and M designation door sills and floor mats.
From what we gather - BMW's press release was quite vague on this - all Z4 M Sports models will also be able to be equipped with the adaptive M Suspension that lowers the hardtop roadster by 10 mm or almost 0.4 inches.

These are the first teaser shots of Toyota's all-new dedicated hybrid concept vehicle that will make its world premiere during the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month. The Japanese automaker did not disclose more specifics about the hybrid model, but judging from the photos, we'd place our bet on a small city car -something like the Prius' small brother- because of the short front end. Even though BMW's M-badged cars are supposed to be the crème de la crème of each model series, that hasn't stopped G-Power from offering bimmer buyers more power and exclusivity. Their latest accomplishment is a sport package with aerodynamic and performance enhancements for the X5 M and X6 M.Save the Image For the Full Size !
The German tuner has upgraded the 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged engine found in both M models with a reprogrammed ECU resulting in a modest boost in output to 600 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 700Nm or 516 pound-feet of torque from 2,000 rpm.
Along with the removal of the speed limiter, the two modified SUVs / SAVs / Crossovers (make your pick) are now propelled to a top speed in excess of 300km/h (187mph), with 0 to 100km/h (62mph) acceleration coming in 4.5 seconds and to 200km/h (124mph) in just 16.2 seconds.
There's also a new suspension kit that lower's the ride height of both models by around 30mm.
G-Power was never about subtle aero mods, and the company makes no exception with the X5 M and X6 M. Both models feature a different front bumper with extra large air-inlets on each corner along with a new bonnet made of Kevlar hybrid or full carbon and side skirts.
The rear is marked by a new apron, a diffuser that houses the stainless steel exhaust pipes, a roof spoiler, and in the case of the X6 M, a boot wing also.
G-Power has designed two separate sets of 23-inch alloy wheels that are shod in 315/25 ZR23 high-performance Michelin tires for the X5 M and X6 M.
The company also enhances the interior of the two M models with numerous parts such as a new sports steering wheel, a speedometer in G-POWER design and carbon-fiber covers for the side linings, central console and the dashboard.
G-Power said that €6,990 (plus assembly) will buy you the aero kit, €8,865.55 the new alloy wheels and tires, €3,021 the full stainless steel end muffler and €4,701.68 V8 engine power upgrade.Read more...

Alfa Romeo has officially announced that the car's name is 'Giulietta'
After an bevy of factory spy shots and more recently, a squabble with the current and former employees of the Italian firm's Milan plant that led to a last minute decision to drop the 'Milano' name, Alfa Romeo has finally published the first official image of its new compact hatchback that will replace the 147 and compete in the all-important C-segment in Europe.
Even though there have been rumors about the use of the 'Giulietta' name, the Italians have yet to announce something official.
However, there's still some time left to choose a name as the compact hatch won't be fully revealed until the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010.
The 147's replacement, which will be made only as a five-door model, is based on the Fiat Group's new C-Evo platform that will also be used in future Chrysler and Dodge products.
Measuring in at 4,350mm in length, 1,460 mm in height and 1,800 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,630mm, the new compact hatch is slightly longer, taller and wider than the current 147. It also features a boot capacity of 350 liters.
When it arrives in Alfa's showrooms in spring next year, the hatch will initially be offered with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, all turbocharged.
The range will include the 1.4-liter TB and 1.4-liter TB Multiair petrol units with 120HP and 170HP respectively, and the 1.6-liter JTDM and 2.0-liter JTDM diesels with 105HP and 170HP respectively.
Later in the year, Alfa Romeo will introduce a sportier version wearing the "Quadrifoglio Verde" (four-leaf clover) badge to compete against the VW Golf GTI and Renault Megane RS. The QV will be powered by a 1.7-liter (1,750cc) four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine delivering an output of 235 horsepower.

The completely redesigned 2010 Tucson SUV will begin arriving at Hyundai's dealerships in the coming days with prices starting from $18,995 for the entry-level GLS with a six-speed manual-transmission and topping out at $24,345 for the Limited model. Bear in mind though that the above prices do not include a freight charge of $795.
For now, the new Tucson will be offered only with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol rated at 176 horsepower and 168 lb.-ft. of torque, that can be linked to 6-speed manual or a automatic transmissions. However, Hyundai plans to add a 2.0-liter engine to the range in the 2011 model year.
There are two trim levels available for the 2010 Tucson, the base GLS which can be upgraded with the Popular and Navigation packages, and the more upscale Limited that can be enhanced with the Premium package.

The fast-growing Indian auto market has captured the attention of Toyota that has announced plans to unveil a new compact car concept designed specifically to cover the needs of domestic drivers at the 10th Auto Expo automobile show, which runs from January 5 to 11, 2010, in New Delhi.
Toyota did not disclose any specific details on the vehicle but it is most likely that the compact-sized concept will spawn a low-cost production model in the very near future.
The Japanese automaker said that alongside the new concept it will display 13 other concept and production vehicles including the redesigned "Prado" and "Fortuner" SUVs and the India-market "Innova" minivan.Read more...

The first set of official photos of the all-new 2011 Hyundai Sonata YF made the rounds today on several Korean forums revealing more details on the mid-size sedan's styling. As predicted, Hyundai's Mazda6 and VW Passat challenger incorporates a more dramatic design language than the current model featuring a four-door-coupe-like roofline and a stubby rear-end.
Although it is most likely that these photos depict the U.S. and Asian market model, the European version that will potentially be named ix40, shouldn't differ much - we suspect that the only significant change will concern the replacement of the Klingon-like front grille with something more in the lines of the new Tucson / ix35's grille.Read more...

سر ریچارد برنسون درحال رونمایی دستگاه پرنده ای است که از آن برای بردن مسافران خصوصی به فضا استفاده خواهد شد.
"اسپیس شیب 2" (SpaceShipTwo) در موهاوی واقع در ایالت کالیفرنیا پرده برداری می شود.
این دستگاه پرنده طی 18 ماه آینده تحت آزمایش قرار خواهد گرفت و پس از آن اجازه خواهد یافت با فروش بلیت افراد را در سفرهای کوتاه به نقطه ای بالاتر از جو زمین ببرد.
سر ریچارد که هدایت "گروه ویرجین" را به عهده دارد قصد دارد اولین پروازها را از ایالت نیومکزیکو انجام دهد و پس از آن پرواز را از سایر نقاط جهان انجام خواهد داد.
سر ریچارد پیش از پرده برداری رسمی به خبرنگاران گفت: "ما می خواهیم این برنامه یک شروع کاملا تازه در عصر تجاری مسافرت فضایی باشد."
"اس اس 2" بر مدل فضاپیمای "اسپیس شیپ 1" بنا شده است که ابتدا با یک هواپیما به هوا برده شده و از آنجا راهی فضا می شد. آن فضاپیما اولین فضاپیمای خصوصی جهان با یک رشته پروازهای آزمایشی در سال 2004 بود.
"اس اس 2" اما دو برابر "اس اس 1" است و طول آن به 18 متر می رسد. و درحالی که فضاپیمای قبلی فقط یک خلبان و ظرفیت حمل دو مسافر را داشت، مدل تازه دو خدمه و جای شش مسافر را خواهد داشت.
گزارش می شود که تاکنون 300 نفر برای سفر با آن به فضا ثبت نام کرده اند. اینها کسانی هستند که حاضرند 200 هزار دلار برای این سفر دو ساعته که شش دقیقه آن در حالت بی وزنی خواهد بود پرداخت کنند.
ریچار برنسون به بی بی سی گفت: "باور نکردنی است که تاکنون فقط 450 نفر به فضا رفته اند؛ این شامل همه روس ها، همه چینی ها و همه آمریکایی ها با هم است."
"ما با کمک ویرجین گالاکتیک، شرکت تازه فضانوردی تجاری خود، باید بتوانیم در دوازده ماه اول پس از شروع به کار شاید هزار نفر را به 'فضانورد' تبدیل کنیم."
بسیاری از این فضانوردان آینده در مراسم پرده برداری از اس اس 2 در "فرودگاه هوایی و فضایی موهاوی" شرکت کردند.
شرکت "ویرجین گالاکتیک" رقبایی خواهد داشت، اما در صورتی که آزمایش اس اس 2 با موفقیت انجام شود، مسلما اولین شرکتی است که وارد بازار خواهد شد.
هواپیمایی که اس اس 2 را به هوا خواهد برد تا از آنجا به فضا پرتاب شود "وایت نایت 2" نام دارد که سال گذشته تکمیل شده و آزمایش آن اکنون شروع شده است.
