Person Look Up At the Sky!

You gotta stop and smell the roses!

Checking, 1, 2, 3...

Okay, okay, people, thanks for all the hate mail! Just to clarify: yes, obviously people search can be used for boring G-rated searches too, like if I wanted to find my ancestors, but that's boring, right? So who really cares? Look, if you're going to find someone, it might as well be for something kinky. Am I right, or am I right? Just checking you all still have blood running through your veins out there.

Rolling Along

I love this rant to Madonna. It probably surprises exactly no one that she's one of my idols. If only Char and I could bring a fox like her husband into the mix. That would be sweet. I wish I knew how to find someone like that online. Don't get me wrong. We really like the third we had, and we'll definitely invite her back, but variety is the spice of like, as they say, so don't be surprised if I start using person search for new types of searches.

The Internet Could Be Improved

Char and I are still having fun with the third party, who must also be having fun since she doesn't want to leave! I love being able to be so open. It's not something most people in the world could do. They've been brainwashed by monogamy and romance and all the other lies the patriarchy tells. Remember how I said some internet entrepreneur should start a social networking site for swingers? I still think this is a great idea and if I knew how to code worth a damn, I'd be on it like a fly on...well, you know what on. Sadly life on the commune didn't really prepare any of us for the "Internet age", as it were. I love the Internet though and wouldn't live without it. Despite the fact that Char and I got lucky at the bar, a people search with guidelines and quality control might not be a bad idea. Also, a people finder in general would be helpful. You know, one with just the basics: name, email, phone number maybe. I really don't care what your favorite quote is or anything like that. I refuse to believe anybody else does either.

But anyway...instead of planning my domination of the Internet, I've been reading Rant Farm instead. The rant to stuff white people like (the blog) is really hilarious. Go read it now!

Found a Third

So in the end, we didn't use people searches to find a third. We just did it the old fashioned way: went to a seedy bar, found someone cute, took her home with us. It was fun, whatever. I don't have much to say about it - except it would be super cool if you could do people search for that kind of thing, so I hope some internet entrepreneur will get cracking on that. Anyway, enjoy this rant To Ryan Seacrest and check out this site for the best antioxidant you'll ever have.

Finding a Third

Things are going so great with Char. A few days ago, he suggested that we might want to, you know, try things with someone else. That sounds fun, but the hard part would be to find people who might be willing to have fun with us. That's not something that the ability to search people is particularly good for. Plus, is it weird to ask a potential partner if they'd be willing to give us their full name, so we can do a background search before we meet them? Thank goodness they're so easy to do, but sometimes, since I grew up on a commune, I'm not the best when it comes to awkward social interactions. The one thing I'm really good at is finding public records

What the world needs now is love, sweet love....

Okay, so, the good news is that I helped Char track down his mom. The better news is that she was really excited to hear from him and they're getting together soon. The completely mind-boggingly totally excellent news is that he totally digs me too and we're so dating now! Well, I should tell you I come from a very non-traditional approach to dating. I mean, beyond doing a people search to see who I'm dealing with, I'm also not into that whole possessiveness thing, so while we're dating, and even sort of seriously, that doesn't mean we can't date other people. It's hard finding people who share my same ideas about it, which is why it's so great to date Char. He knows that he and I can have a special relationship without deterring from any other relationship in our lives, that in fact, I can have special relationships with several people. I mean, we take precautions not to spread disease and all that, but really, monogamy isn't natural. Anyway, that being said, I am really enjoying my time with Char. He's so conscientious! Like, his mom has other kids now, and a grandchild who lives with her too, so he found this article on how to keep kids safe online and sent it to her, because he's concerned about the kids. He's so sweet! But really, all the good feelings that come from being with someone--I wish everyone had that. If everyone could feel the way we all felt growing up on the commune, it would be great. Anyway, I know I'm gushing and chipper and all that. I can't help it! It's been a really great week. :D

Winter Solstice and Getting My City Stride Back

I can't even begin to tell you how great it was to be back on the commune for the Winter Solstice Festival. I stayed an extra week than I intended to, it was so great to be back there. But as great as it was, I found myself missing the city life. I mean, it's not that the commune doesn't have diversity, but pretty much all the people there think the same sort of way--well, they think community living is best at least. Back in the city everyone has all these different ideas about how to live life--and yet they still manage to co-exist. I think I want to keep the best of both worlds, live in the city and visit the commune. Well, to that end, I finally broke down and did a person lookup on one of my old friends from the commune, with Leaf's help. I found Char, my best friend from when I was a kid, and guess where he lives? Mere minutes away from me in the city! I contacted him and told him about how I learned to search people and he was pretty excited. Turns out the woman he lived with on the commune was his aunt, and he wants to track down his actual mother. I found this article on finding people using a people search engine that I think will help us track her down. While I'm excited to help him with his project, I have to say I was secretly surprised about something else--how cute he is! I mean, I had a kid-crush on him back in the day, but now--dude's a total hottie! I'm trying to keep things on a friendship level, but I find myself staring into his hazel eyes now and again and daydreaming....Anyway, the only thing I need to get used to being back in the city is how fast everyone moves out here. They walk a lot faster than they do on the commune. Gotta work on my speedwalk again. ;-) Anyway, off to meet Char and try a people search.

People From the Commune Finding Me

Well, I didn't really follow through on my pre-New Year's resolution. That's right, I flaked out again. Never even looked for an old friend. Lucky for me, though, someone else did! Leaf, who was probably my closest friend at the commune, contacted me last week. She's one of the ones who stayed behind; she was always so much more into the lifestyle than me. Cool thing is, Leaf's still there, and she has been pretty instrumental in making sure the commune is relevant and updated for today. They have T1 connections, an organic farmer's market open to the public (very popular, she says) and a little bed and breakfast type thingie for anyone wanting a taste of the commune experience. Sounds a lot better than what I remember. Anyway, Leaf invited me to the commune for the annual Christmas (well, Winter Solstice for us) bash. I'm going! I'm really, really excited, and this has (honestly!) made me want to track down some of the other old commune people to join me. Thanks to this site, I've been able to find a person almost every time I try. On an unrelated note, check out this hilarious ode To My High School Reunion.

Finding People from the Commune

Now that I live in a big city, I have begun to appreciate the little things about the commune I grew up on. I used to hate it. I was out of there as fast as I could. However, I miss it sometimes. I think mostly I miss my friends that I grew up with there. To be honest, I am an awful friend; I have no idea where they are now. I am totally that person that never picks up with phone, forgets to return messages, and I can be awfully flaky. Ok, I know this is horrible, but at least I can be open and admit my faults you know? Well, back to my point, now that New Years is coming I want to make a resolution to be a better friend. Before I do that I would like to find my old friends first so that I can have a group of people to be a good friend to. One of my co-workers found all her high school friends by doing a person lookup on something called a people search engine. Very strange, but apparently very easy to find someone you are looking for. Besides finding my old friends, I want to find new friends that I can have a fresh start with. I saw this article on FindAnyoneNow.net-Finding People Like You , which had some cool tips on how to find people with similar interests as you. Way cool, I gotta join some clubs or something. Anyways I gotta get back to work. Check ya later!

Nico is Here!

Helllllllo! My name is Nico and I am a first time blogger! Yessiree! And I am way excited about it, if you couldn't tell. I don't really know what the heck I am doing, but I thought I would try it. All I hear everywhere is blog this, and blog that, so here I am blogging! I'm hoping it makes me inspirational or more creative or something like that. I'm a bit of a free spirit if you couldn't already tell. My parents were such hippies. I spent much of my childhood on a commune in Montana. Yeah, I know. I'm just bummed I got stuck with the name Nicole, instead of some cool hippie dippy name like Moonshadow or something. I'm sure if I had that name though I would be dying for a normal name like..Nicole. I guess my parents had their limits, because all my brothers and sisters have soceitally normal names too. Anyways, I gotta run right now, but I will be back sooooon!
