In Mainland, Chinese people bypass the censorship with new keywords tricks.
My friend Mei Tung did a performance in Postdamer place, in Berlin., as she is still studying in Europe.
"Maybe it is true. If you just go by yourself, with nothing, people will just appeared to help. I decide to go to Berlin Wall to do a 64performance really in the last moment, in 1st June, just go alone. Event did not think of finding friend for documentary(...)I met Hong Kong students when I was doing performance, and now, I know I am not alone, as, I am not the only one who would like to go to Berlin to visit the wall in June(...)"
(I will update this post as soon as some film/picture of this performance are released). despite the rain, 150000 people gathered in Victoria park(article in Chinese) in Hong Kong for the celebration. Once again, please read the Peking Duck post "June 4th, yes, again"
(...)That's why every year I'll say something about it, even if it’s all been said before. And let's not forget, the CCP can be a benevolent force that can do a lot of good. But when its survival is threatened, something very different can emerge(...)
Before getting censored, some creative pictures already went viral (you've heard about the giant duck(BBC news article) from Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, travelling over the world?
I've been thinking, and asking myself over and over HOW to write and present this, but the only thing that came to my mind so far (apart from having no idea HOW) is that just DELAYING this post would be the worst thing to do.
I need to share this website, as I believe it is A MUST SEE for every woman of every age or nationality, dealing with a worlwide issue of self-consciousness.
EDIT: FELIX point me to an excellent article on RUE89 (in french) about the results of 12 years of gay marriage in Netherlands. A french teacher has to explain to his teenager's students why the demonstrations against gay marriage in french. Really worth to read Douze ans de mariage gay en Hollande : un bilan terrifiant
France is about to legalize same-sex marriage. It's a big move forward, but as many countries did before us, we are facing a strong opposition from extreme religious groups and from right & far-right political parties(...)
This time I have been invited to model with a partner for an open-area life drawing session by a friend of mine. That was not only extremely challenging, but, when looking to the picture and drawings from our performance, very rewarding. Personally, this is somehow my very preferred moment: after modeling, looking at artist's view of me, it's really like looking through somebody's very mind (not somebody's eyes). It inspires me A LOT when, back to the "usual" side, I am drawing a model.
This is the magic of art to me: It open a crack in reality for the imagination to wander.
But gosh, all my muscle now cry for mercy. We weren't faking it. I dare not imagine how my amazing partner Vinci could handle her impressive poses.
