...le beurre... et l'usine à beurre.

Hong Kong Book fair/ Salon du livre Hong Kong

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Last week, in the french alliance where I now work, I met God...
CHARLES BERBERIAN himself...
On est même allés déjeuner ensemble... In the restaurant...

english translation:
'gotta go, you're in charge to finish my beer, see you later..
Wow, I sit on Charles Berberian's chair...
I drink Charles Berberian's beer...
...in Charles Berberian's GLASS!!
..I wonder how much I can bid it on e-bay?

Et j'ai eu une DE-DI-CA-CEUUUH...

the sketch above is ©Charles berberian (I guess)

And a few sketches, as I diden't want to be the only one NOT to draw there....

Joli. Ceci dit, tu as commis une petite erreur.

@Artman: Fetishism :rolleyes:

Tu me remercieras plus tard.

i know... my french stinks too. it's my favorite language apart from my own and i keep trying and trying to add to my grammar mostly. but it takes time.

my french vocabulary is almost useless because it is gleaned from the poems of rimbaud, baudelaire, apollinaire... the writings of rene daumal and lisele reymond and most reverentially, balzac.

my appreciation of french culture comes from my, early in life, devouring of the novels of monsieur dumas and the master of story tellers, victor hugo.

now that my time is my own.... i intend to master the french language. if only to be able to understand the dialogue in rene' clair movies.

Actually, I've heard that french is the second most difficult langage in the world (with cantonese)...
