As by us, "civilized occidental people", chinese like to have some fish tanks at home, with many fishes, as goldfishes (and others) bring luck and happyness (you know, Feng Shui and stuff).
When I was visiting Waiyim's aunties in Guangzhou, I've seen beautiful fishes in the main room... with HUGES FISHES inside!
the bigger fish you have at home, the more luck he'll bring you.

Ans don't shed no tear little darling, even if the tank might be a bit small for the fish lord, I guess he fells better there than in a restaurant's fish tank.

Pour vous donner une idée, le bestiau devait faire dans les 1 mêtres de long, sans exagérer; en Chine, y'en a plein les aquariums des devantures des restaurants, c'est assez fascinant à voir comme monstre marin.

Et, non, mon budget d'artiste itinérant ne m'a jamais permis d'en commander un pour goûter.

Je te crois Pfe, je te crois ! En Hongrie, j'ai vu ce genre d'aquarium devant les restaurants mais seuls les poissons qui étaient au-dessus survivaient, les centaines d'autres (et là je n'exagère pas non plus) au-dessous étaient raides morts, mais ça ne gênait pas plus que ça de les exhiber ainsi...
