VN Index records worst transaction of the year

Oct 23, Vn Index breaks the bottom line of 366.02 on June 20, 2008 closes at 360.43, losing 14.48 points at 3.86 %, recording lowest point today. Total trade volume is 13,235,320, values VND 408.2 bln (USD 24.6 mln).
"If the global economy is on financial crisis, the crisis here in Vietnam is on investors' psychology", stated a Research Manager from ??? Securities Company.
The index comes to the lowest level ever of the year providing commercial banks efforts in lower loans rate for enterprises and significant sign shows inflation rate is recorded at lowest point of - 0.24% in Ho Chi Minh city during October.

The transaction today recognises 8 stocks increasing only and 147 decreasing, 9 stocks remain unchanged. MCP and HT1 are among the stocks decreases most today.
MCP - My Chau Printing & Packaging Holding Co., which operates in metal package printing, loses 5% and HT1, Ha Tien 1 Cement Joint stock Company, the cement producer loses 5% at the maximum variation range in HoSE (Ho Chi Minh city Stock Exchange) as shown in FPTS online board.
"Vietnamese investors should not be overshadowed of psychology. I believe there would be positive sign for the stock market soon. Vietnam is exporter for essential consumption goods like textile, fish, rubber, coffee...foreign consumers still need our products", emphasizes Mr. ???.
The ??? Securities Company's Research Manager also expresses his hope that the government will pump more money to the market as other countries.
Earlier, some securities company set a focus for VNindex would be between 417 - 540 points by the end of 2008./.
