I am a father now :happy:

My wife gave birth to Jacinta Crystalin on March 30th 2009 08:15 AM (GMT +7) exactly a week ago :smile:

I :love: my baby. She's been very nice and calm during the days and nights :up:. She really knows how to make mommy and daddy happy I guess :smile:

Opera Indonesia is going to make another T-shirt. This year we wanted to make a polo shirt :yes:. We're now in the process of deciding the best design to be used. The design candidates are :

Opera Indonesia 2009 T Shirt, we need design ideas!

Our Indonesian Opera User Group (Opera Indonesia) is planning to make another T-Shirt. We successfully made a t-shirt last year and there are proud owners of the t shirt all over the world (mostly Indonesia though p:)!

We need some design ideas for the T-Shirt, It will be a white T-Shirt and must have these words : "Opera Indonesia (my.opera.com/id)"

So will you guys out there help us? I can't promise you anything though :frown: If you live in Indonesia i'd gladly send one t-shirt for you, but if you're overseas I'm afraid i can't cover the shipment cost :frown:

Hello :smile:

It's the end of 2008 now, like last year, i wanted to look back at my personal highlights for this year and see if any of the resolution i made for 2008 got fulfilled or not, and of course listing my resolution for next year :smile:

So Looking back at last year's resolution:

  • get settled at work

    • I'm pretty settled at work now, my contract will be expiring soon though. Looking forward to be established as a permanent employee or maybe look at another very interesting job vacancy ?
  • get lots of money p:

    • Not yet unfortunately, i'm still grateful for what i have this year though!
  • Opera Indonesia reaches a thousand members by the end of 2008

    • Checked! Almost doubled it! :yes: :happy:
  • First Indonesian Opera user meet up (get some funds from Opera for free meals :lol:)

    • Yep, we had our first meetup :smile: . Putri organized it really well, Tatsuki Tomita (Opera VP) came, had a nice chat with him aswell :smile:
  • Interviewed by local TV about Opera (okay this is a bit over the top but who knows :wink: )

    • :lol: nope not yet p:
  • This blog gets more fame :lol:

    • I'm giving up on this one :smile: This is just a personal blog.


This year has been quite rough for me, but still lots of highlights :smile: This year's highlight :




So what is this year's resolution? Here they are:

  • Parenthood (Yep a baby is coming somewhere in Q2 2009 :happy:)
  • Fly! (Yep working at an airline but haven't flown on a plane 'til now p:)
  • Establish as a permanent employee at current company or what i told you in my review above p:
  • Side projects like Opera Indonesia Group Blog and Indonesian Music Blog updated more frequently *lazy guy*
  • Own a house or apartment *fingers crossed*
  • Visit an Opera Office :smile: *I really want to go to Opera Office at Oslo. Japan/Korea is the most possible one looking at Garuda Indonesia's route though* If anyone reading is from Japan, Can i stay at your place? P:

Why?



Yesterday I was invited to attend and speak at Mobile Monday Indonesia, the topic was about Mobile Internet. I gave a short presentation about my mobile internet habits and also present some nice stats about Opera Mini in Indonesia :up:. The other speakers was Denny Yohanes from Nokia Siemens Network, Jeff Roberto from Friendster and Hisham Isha from BuzzCity. The presentations were great, the crowd was great, and the host was really great :up: .

After the presentation, the crowd are given the chance to chat and mingle. I talked with some people that came; journalist, software vendors, consultant, PR people and website owners. I talked with Jeff Roberto from Friendster too and a bit complaining about their decision to hard redirect Opera Mini users to their mobile version. There are some technical reason that he stated and I think i should (and i will) forward their reasons to David Storey. I met some people that was interested in doing business with Opera. I

In this session i realised, I don't have a business card! Homer: Doh! And that's is totally not cool :faint:. So I think i should make two. One is my official Garuda Indonesia business card, the other one is my personal business card. Any design ideas? I'd love to make an Opera Indonesia Community Member Card, that would be a cool personal card :D

Another lesson learned on the event was i need to practice speaking english more :frown: . I still think in Indonesian and that sometimes it messed up my ability to speak my opinion :down:.
