Opera Indonesia Hoodie 2010

So our beloved group Klub Pengguna Opera Indonesia is planning to make a hoodie. There was a competition to design our newest hoodie. This design is the winner :



Pretty cool huh?

Now, we're beginning to receive orders. If you're Indonesian go to http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=556951&t=1273125605 to order it. I don't think we can cater other countries due to shipping costs sad. The hoodie is pretty cheap for american/european standard about US$9. We're going to pool the money first, and then exclusively start the production.

Looking Back, Looking Forward, Moving On! The Journey Pt. 2

Hi all,

It's new year's resolutions time again! But first I must look back to see what I have done, the highlights etc. 2009 has been some year, the usual ups and downs in live, birth and death, happiness and sadness. C'est la vie smile

So last year, my new year's resolutions were :

  • Parenthood (Yep a baby is coming somewhere in Q2 2009 )
    Yay, you're looking at one happy daddy here smile My daughter decides to come to the world a bit early than predicted. She's born in March 30, 2009 (late Q1 2009) happy
  • Fly! (Yep working at an airline but haven't flown on a plane 'til now )
    This is embarassing but I haven't fullfilled this resolution irked I did have my first train ride this year though p .
  • Established as a permanent employee at current company or what i told you in my review above
    Yep, I'm now a full time employee at Garuda Indonesia.
  • Side projects like Opera Indonesia Group Blog and Indonesian Music Blog updated more frequently *lazy guy*
    Opera Indonesia has more activity this year (Lots of blog post, forum post, a new T-Shirt, Meetups), but sadly Indonesian Music Blog has not. My bad bigsmile
  • Own a house or apartment *fingers crossed*
    Nope, I think a realistic target will be in 3-4 years from now..
  • Visit an Opera Office *I really want to go to Opera Office at Oslo. Japan/Korea is the most possible one looking at Garuda Indonesia's route though* If anyone reading is from Japan, Can i stay at your place?
    Not yet, sigh... Maybe next year? I surely hope so


So looking back at my last year's resolution, it seems like that this year is a bad year resolution-wise sad

So my next year's resolutions are :

  • Fly
    I'm soooooo gonna fly this year. I should make a passport too, maybe there's a chance of going abroad. Hoping to meet some My Opera and/or Opera Indonesia member in various places too
  • Lose some weight
    When wifey got pregnant, I got fatter... I need to lose some now!
  • Upgrade my skill sets
    I need to learn more about WEB, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and maybe a scripting language
  • Visit an Opera Office
    Still on my list this year.

Time for Miyabi to cash in!

Miyabi aka Maria Ozawa is a well known Japanese actress who has starred on various genres of movies/TV series (or so i hear wink ) . Her adult movies are some of the most sought after DVD movies in Indonesia. Unfortunately (for her) most of the DVDs are pirated so Miyabi gets no money whatsoever from her fanbase here in Indonesia.

There are plans from Indonesian movie producer to bring Miyabi to Indonesia to star in a movie production. I think this is a good move in terms of hype and marketing. There are people against Miyabi's coming to Indonesia, but I'm not one of them. She's free to grab job opportunities here, and cash in some of the hard work she's done that's gone unpaid to her because Indonesian watch it from pirated products p

So welcome to Indonesia Miyabi (If the plan goes through)! p

Bombings hit Indonesia

What a tragedy, i hate it when these things happen. I hate it when people have to die like this. I hate it when the country i am living and loving suffer another blow like this.

My heart goes to the victims and their families. Hoping for speedy recovery both physically and mentally.

I hope that our economy can cope with this. I hope that the police, military can find the culprit / mastermind. I hope that the government gives more focus to the victims and stop being defensive about it.

I hope that our current president focus on the incident rather than talk about politics. And i really really hope that the country stay strong together and ignore about politics.

Opera Indonesia is going to make another T-shirt. This year we wanted to make a polo shirt yes. We're now in the process of deciding the best design to be used. The design candidates are :

Opera Indonesia 2009 T Shirt, we need design ideas!

Our Indonesian Opera User Group (Opera Indonesia) is planning to make another T-Shirt. We successfully made a t-shirt last year and there are proud owners of the t shirt all over the world (mostly Indonesia though p)!

We need some design ideas for the T-Shirt, It will be a white T-Shirt and must have these words : "Opera Indonesia (my.opera.com/id)"

So will you guys out there help us? I can't promise you anything though sad If you live in Indonesia i'd gladly send one t-shirt for you, but if you're overseas I'm afraid i can't cover the shipment cost sad

I am a father now happy

My wife gave birth to Jacinta Crystalin on March 30th 2009 08:15 AM (GMT +7) exactly a week ago smile

I love my baby. She's been very nice and calm during the days and nights up. She really knows how to make mommy and daddy happy I guess smile
