About meStart with a more interesting part of my life, that others are interested in for a movie/book deal. When I was 12 years old. I jumped from the back of a truck. Landed on my head. Dead on the scene with a skull fracture. I was taken to a hospital, revived and died 3 more times (total death of 4 times). The Doctor that was flown in from doing a teaching in London, for another trauma case, worked on me all those times. At which time, he had signed a 'Death Certificate' went to hang it on my big toe and I moved. I've been told my family members, that after 4 years: I'm supposed to be- dead, thin, weak or a vegetable. Well, 42 years later after having: breast cancer, my spleen removed (with a temp of 105.4 for 3 days), 20 gals of Tamera meat that had been boiling for 14 hours. Poured onto the left half of my body. First and second degree grease burns. And more near death experiences. I'm healthy, active and alive :D.
Okay, now to more about me. I got started doing Photography, while in the Air Force. I was then known as Security Police, Law Enforcement Specialist (now known as Security Forces). My first Sgt, somehow saw a Photographer in me. Helped me get a charge account at the Base Exchange and I purchased my first 35mm Canon camera. One week later from the date that I was stationed at Rhine Maine Air Base in Frankfurt, West Germany. The American Hostages were FREED from Iran. I guarded them along with Former President Jimmy Carter. Regan became President and let Carter come to the base to welcome the Hostages back to Freedom. Due to the fact the Carter was the President that signed the papers for the Freedom. Afterwards, I guarded 3 semi trailers of the Marines' bodies that were blown up in Beirut. I was also a Bodyguard for the Base Commander that was 3rd on the Terrorist's hit list. I did all of this from January 1981 until January 1984. Then I was stationed at Edwards Air Base in California. Where I guarded the 2nd Space Shutter that landed there with a flat tire. I was there for only a few months. My time in the Service ended August 1984. Within those few years, I got to see and do a lot, during Peace Times. I salute the guys and gals in the Service now for what they are doing for us. SALUTE TO ALL and THANKS.
More about my photography, sorry I got carried away with my Military time. I started photography in 1981 as stated above. I've taken black/white and color photography classes. I've done my own developing and printing in the darkroom (the old fashion way). I've worked for Kinkos' Copy Center for 11 years (1993 to 2004). Managing and operating a One Hour film Photo Lab. In 2003 I started doing Digital Photography. In 1992, I lived in Ojai (o-hi), California. Someone asked me to do photos for a local calendar that she wanted to have produced. I went to the local museum, she knew the person in charge. I got photos from their safe, then photographed what was currently at the locations of the old photos. I titled the 1993 black/white calendar "Ojai Then and Now". That calendar out sold a color calendar 5 to 1 (that was photographed by the local Camera Club). Current 2011, the calendar that I photographed is in the: Ojai City Library, Ojai City Museum and the Ventura County Museum. Thank You, Sgt Davis (my First Sgt, for starting me into Photography). Currently here in Nevada. The Nevada Magazine has used a photo that I took of a Wild Horse crossing in front of a Train. There was about 30 feet distances between the two and the horse made it across the tracks safely :). Those photos were shown on the Reno Channel 2 News as their Weather Photos. They have shown photos of my for over 2 years. My photos have also be used in Ojai Travel Magazine and multi newspapers too. As you can see, I have been doing Photography for now 30 years. I love to hike, travel and take photos for myself and to share with others too.
There's a little more, but I'll stop at this point. I don't how much, I'm allowed to type, lol.
