Hello, gentlemen and gentlewomen!! =))
What do you think about videogames? As for me, they are marvelous!!
Actually, the last console I had was NES, it was very popular here in Russia in the 90's under the name Dendy - it was just a clone of an original Nintendo console.
But I guess, those childhood memories etched deeply into my then sensitive brain. Oh, those hours spent with Chip'n'Dale, Contra and Mario, of course Mario!! So, I guess, that's the reason why even when I got my first PC in 1997 and started playing "serious" games I still felt unexplainable attraction towards console games.. All those attempts to launch an emulator of Sony Playstation on my outdated PC, downloading hundreds of megabytes of old games from the internet using a dial-up connction..
And I was a really heave PC gamer: reading news on the net, buying special magazines... But even in the magazines I was always very interested in console games, reading all possible about Dreamcast, Playstations and Co. Unlike my friends, who thought all this MArio stuff to be crap...
And then I finally got a chance to quench my thirst for oldschool viedogames!! About a year ago I've bought myself a nice and comfortable gamepad and installed Project64 - a great Nintendo64 emulator!! Since then I'm happy: I can enjoy all those classics right on my desktop: Legend of Zelda, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario64, Conker's Bad Fur Day. And what can I say about all this? I can say that it is pure fun!!
Right now I'm enjoying Mario64, a great-great-great platformer, which is purely Nintendo: just joy and nothing else!!
That's what I call hi-quality videogames. Check it out if you have a chance!!
Just look at this cute blue stone!! And the way it says "Uhhh" when it drops... Awww, sooo ingenious!!
