A British company called Thru vision has developed a camera that can detect weapons, drugs, or explosives hidden under the clothes from upto 25 meters.It can be a breakthrough for the security companies.
The T5000 camera uses what is called as “passive imaging technology” to identify objects with the uses of electromagnetic rays,that they emit known as terahertz or T-rays..
The high powered camera can detect hidden objects from upto 80 feet away and is even effective when people are moving.
The technology has military and civilian application and can put a new life into anti-terrorist activities on airports, stadiums and railway stations.
