Poetry In Motion

I walk in the corridors of their hearts with the word,
scatter the knowledge i withhold in my mind like seeds,
make my words easy to understand like food fed to baby birds by their mama bird,
and try not to have my words contradicting my deeds.

I dress up in my long dress of dignity,
tie up my locks with respect,
i put on a make up of integrity,
put a smile permanently wide,
and wear shoes of possibilities,

I am a poetess,
a creation set on this earth to create pictures using the word,
feeding the mind and keeping it interested into getting more,
write words of understand on
innocent souls, words purified with nothing but the truth.
Resurrecting thoughts long buried,
scratching healing wounds for permanent healing,
reaping hearts and stitching them with lucidity...

I'm a soul that's been given the privilage to
allow my pen to cause conflict with my paper.
See it writing what the literate call the word,
abusing the paper with an overload of talent,
leave it overflowing with ideas to change today to a better
tomorrow.

I am an African nymph crowned with an ability to speak the word and reveal the hidden truth,
shake greater minds,
portrait an imagine through the word,
giving it life and meaning by rhyming and flowing,

I am a poetess,
and when there's a divorce between my soul and flesh,
my word shall not taste death.
