Poetry In Motion

It didn't hurt the grass
Nor scare the flies,
But within the twins of commerce were cries
Of a man who was sowing for his rise
Of a woman who had rose to be wise
A people that desired to pay success's price,
The screams of help flaming within the violent fires,
The streams of tears failing to extinguish the rage

In our minds the sound of their pain still cries
In our souls the memories of this struggle lingers
To forgive is divine,
But our hearts will always feel the pain
Our souls will always ask the heavens
'Why is mankind so evil?'
