Poetry In Motion

They have exerted themselves and planned,
Counselling together with intrigues fanned,
With embers of fire dancing to no play.
They lay snares along your way.
With fiendish passion they seek your blood
To bath the ground and cause a flood.
Growling and snarling in anger,
For your death they hunger.
A deep undying hatred gnaw their innards.
They stalk towards you, anger burning inwards.

Look! your enemies have stumbled and failed.
For that they gnashed their teeth and wailed,
Wondering where their plans went wrong.
Wondering about Who made you so strong.

An impregnable, solid and reliable fortress!
That is what protects you from all distress.
This happens without your earthly knowledge,
It's not by your strength, wisdom or courage.
It is God Who has made it so.
It is God who brought the wicked one low.
Without your will or wisdom or knowledge,
Without your strength, skill or courage.
For you He will continue this to do.
