Poetry In Motion

THIS BLOG IS FOR EVERYONE

,

Everyone on this group can post whatever they feel like. This group belongs to us all.

Hey guys, just a FYI, we have been getting many poems that are coming in which are fantastic. Just want to let everyone know that many poems are on several pages so that all the poems can be looked at and commented on. The poems are coming in faster than people know. Which is great.

Now, I know we also have lots of members in our group. So hopefully, we have more poetry coming our way as well. "hint, hint"

This is a great group of people and I am proud to belong to this group.

It looks fantastic. Thanks Mik. You are just what this group needs.

Randall 24. November 2007, 05:41

Mik you designed this CSS?? :eyes:

Furie 24. November 2007, 08:05

Yeah. Not my best, cause it's a bit of a rush job, but I'll work on it some more when I get back to a PC.

Randall 24. November 2007, 08:13

no it's really great!... simple & nice :D

Furie 24. November 2007, 08:16

Everything I do is simple. That's the beauty of it. When I edit this I'll add the rose from the group photo to the banner.

SweetLinh 24. November 2007, 11:00

thank you very much for inviting me...its your group, Christy? nice to be a member here..nice skin . Wish you all a nice weekend!

Christy 24. November 2007, 14:00

Hi Lihn,

This originally started out me as the first moderator, but I could never have done all of the beautiful artwork and fixing up without the other moderators help. They all have been very instrumental in helping me get this group off the ground. If it wasn't for them, this group would still be in the planning stages. So a big thank you to my other moderators.

SweetLinh 24. November 2007, 15:10

thank you, Christy. i hope i will get success with growing of our group

Christy 24. November 2007, 17:55

I am sure you will, Lihn. You write beautiful poetry and I hope you will feel free to start posting very soon.

Janette 25. November 2007, 00:17

Hopefully it has all gone through okay.

Hi Janette,

You went through fine. You are listed in the members' page and everything. Now you just have to introduce yourself on the Introduction Page in the Forums section when you have a chance. Thanks for joining.

Christy 25. November 2007, 01:19

Now don't forget everyone to introduce yourselves.

Christy 25. November 2007, 04:31

Hi Randy, you can introduce yourself on the Forums page. We have a special forum for that or not. It is up to you. You can just leave it here if you want. Welcome.

Nice to see you. Looking forward to your work.

Valius 15. December 2007, 13:48

Anyone who does not take the time to read every single poem in this forum must suffer from self-deprivation... notwithstanding emotional hyperthermia.

This forum "Poetry In Motion" should be declared a national treasure.

A devious wry smile crosses my face when I realize I know this forum is here and some do not. Emotional hyperthermia what a wonderful way to go!

Christy 15. December 2007, 14:02

Well hey, if you know of anyone else who would like to join, please feel free to give me their names. The more the merrier.

Valius 15. December 2007, 20:10

Just a quick note so I can stop jumping up and down like a kid at Christmas...ED is in the house! (again)

I just posted "I meant to have but modest means" and I'm beside my self even at the thought. * - In the favorite poetry section

@ first sight this group's blog and other entries stuck my eyes, fantastic!
I am looking for the way to subscribe membership, and tour through it.
I have two, three verses written in (my poor) English, may be, I'll post them, and share.
Thank you.

Furie 28. February 2008, 15:27

Just click the Blog link on the top then you'll see a subscribe button. :D Hope you enjoy the group. There's a lot of talented writers here.

tk9 28. February 2008, 15:48

Thank you very much. I'll do it now.

Valius 24. March 2008, 19:09

First my apologies to the group for this personal but necessary message.

Maree

I tried to answer your 2 PMs and kept getting a 404 "Bad Request" please let me know if you got them. If not I'll try tomorrow since I may have gone over the 50 a day allowed PMs...or if you have an email address I can send them there...I am receiving PMs here fine but can't seem to send them back.

I don't want to post my answers on your page...although they are the truth...I don't want to show the world that there is a hypocrite among us.

Christy 3. September 2008, 01:10

Thanks everyone for sticking with the group. I will try and read the many beautiful poems that are on this fantastic group. I have just returned from my third surgery and this one was a dozzy. I was in the hospital for seven days and I now have to recuperate for 6 weeks. They first thought it was my colon, so I had colon surgery then they found out it was my stomach along with my lovely bowel. So I have been put through the ringer to say the least. I am glad to see this group is still alive. I added a poem I wrote awhile ago and I wrote another one recently which I will add soon. I hope to get back to the swing of things soon but I am not really suppose to be the on the computer long, my doctor wants me resting more. Hopefully soon I will be back to normal and back to writing as usual. I have reallly missing everyone and especially this group. Writing is my passion. So please for me keep this group alive and I will be back soon.

Christy

Valius 4. September 2008, 04:43

Happy to see you any time!

Just a word of caution, I had one eye surgery in June and the other in July. (Nothing as serious as what you are going through) My new theme song is now, "I Can See Clearly Now". My doctor told me to rest a while (I think he had in mind a week or so) and I took him up on it. Now I'm in the habit of resting so much that my days are shooting by. By the time I get out of the habit, now, of resting I'm afraid I'll be ready for the big rest!...don't over due the rest thing.

At the same time feel when you need the rest and don't ignore it.

Christy 10. September 2008, 04:02

Don't worry,

Rest is overrated, but of course when I need to do it, I do. Like today after I had x-rays and stuff done, then I came home and slept for 2 hours.

I have been feeling better, though.

I hope you are feeling better. I heard that surgery can be tough. By your theme song, it does sound like your surgery was a success. I sure hope so.

Keep up the good work.

Frió invierno,
gris en lo llanos, en los puertos,
valles solitarios, y cumbres heladas

Día de lluvia gris,
aguacero intermitente
que embarras caminos
y creas el único deseo de llegar al hogar,
junto a los tuyos,
a la chimenea que arroja su calor
iluminando el hogar,
sacando la melancolía,
del día gris,
invernal,
frió
