Tournament Round 2!

Round 2 begins, finally! In round 2, you battle both the person above you and below you on the competitor list. Also, the person on the top battles the person on the bottom of the list. The list is just a list, not a heirarchy. All battles are best-of-three with the rules we've been using so far.

The rules for the tournament can be found here. If a rule is broken, a rematch should be played for that game only (not the whole best-of-3). Once you have played an opponent, you are both expected to message me with the results (who won each battle).

Read more to see the list. Some people have continued on and others haven't. I've also moved the list around so that nobody plays anyone they've already played in the tourney.

Tournament Round 1!

Here we are! 18 contestants. Only one can win, though! For round 1, you will be split into groups of 3, and will be expected to battle your two opponents before Monday 24th September, each in a best-of-3 battle. So that's 2 or 3 battles against one person, and another 2 or 3 battles against the second person.

The rules for the tournament can be found here. If a rule is broken, a rematch should be played for that game only (not the whole best-of-3). Once you have played an opponent, you are both expected to message me with the results (who won each battle).

Your group can be found if you read more.

Chan please don't complain tho. Chan it'll make me cry tho.

(I'll stop now)

Electric Pokémon are pretty much your standard type with no distiguishing features. The only pattern I can see is that not many of them a dual-types. Just Electric, and that's it.

Type of the now and then: Dragons

,

I don't see why I'm being pestered to do this when the Pokémon of the week is being completely ignored...
Dragon Pokémon are awesome. You know they are. They're rare and fly and they breathe fire and they're scaley and they're awesome. Most Dragon Pokémon don't really need any particular strategy, since they're so damned strong on their own, but a varied moveset and identifying weaknesses wouldn't go amiss.

Type of the week: Dark

,

From now on, this will officially be the type of the eight days. Because I will always leave it a day late. But now that it's type of the eight days, I'll do it two days after what it would be if it were really weakly. PWNED!

The Dark type of Pokémon is one of the two types released first in Pokémon Gold and Silver. This type appears in a pretty diverse selection of double type Pokémon, as can be seen below. Most dark type Pokémon rely on strategies a bit beyond attacking a lot, although Crunch is pretty nasty.

Pokemon of the Week: Porygon-Z

,

Since TLS hasn't gotten around to posting his type of the week, I got permission from Ace Jon to go ahead and post my little column. He also made a suggestion to possibly use Arceus, since it's basically every type. Now I'm not a big fan of using Legendary Pokemon (I feel like I'm cheating when I use my Mewtwo and Articuno), but this really got me thinking. What are some of the other strange Pokemon out there who can change type? My first thought was Kecleon, but it just seems like Kecleon lacks a bit in battle. And then I remembered this little fella...
