Signup has now ended! All those who have signed up will be messaged by myself, and will be expected to reply by the end of Monday. Those who do not reply will be considered inactive and will be removed from the tourney. On Monday, brackets will be made and you can start battling! Read more for the full ruleset that will be used.

RULES
You will battle your opponent in a best-of-3 situation, under lv 100 single battle conditions. Voice chat is optional.

You must always use a team of 6 Pokémon of unique species (you can't have 2 Garchomps, for instance). Your team must remain the same for every battle you have with the same opponent (as all battles are best of 3, you may not change your team in that time, but you can, if you wish, change the order of your team). The same applies for held items. Your team may change when your opponent changes.

You may not use ubers or hacked Pokémon. Ubers are a tier of Pokémon that are "too good"; if they are put in a team they give an unfair advantage to the user. This is the list of ubers:

You may not use the following moves in battle: Double Team, Minimize, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold.

Sleep clause will be in effect for all battles. The sleep clause is: You may not put more than one of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep at any point. Self-induced sleep (such as sleep caused by Rest) does not add to this.

You may not have multiple amounts of one held item. Only one of the Pokémon on your team can hold Leftovers, and the same goes for every item.

You may not use 'luck' items. Luck items are those that rely on or boost luck, including Scope Lens, Razor Claw, and more. A luck item either randomly increases attack or evasiveness.

In the event of a draw (from a recoiling move or other self-KOing move), the user of the self-KOing move loses the match.

If one is already frozen, you cannot freeze another. If you do it by mistake and you aren't losing by a great amount, a rematch is in order.

how bout no moves that FREEZE as it's move but moves that MAY freeze are ok? Like blizzard seems ok, and its pure chance that it freezes. I don't have ANY moves that freeze though.

There isn't a definite freeze move. I dislike the freeze clause, it's pretty much stopping you from using any possible freeze moves if you accidentally freeze someone. I'm definitely playing, my code's 0817-1152-2307. And lol at Rattata on the banner.

Looking at the ice moves, there are no attacks with more than 10% chance of freezing. That could be taken either way... on the one hand, being lucky enough to freeze twice in a match is obviously incredibly lucky, meaning a rematch would be fair. But since freezing twice will be rare, it's questionable if it really was worth it...

Not that you have removed it, I've made a better informed decision that it doesn't really matter. >.<

Well i find wobbuffet a useless pokémon & those banned moves i find useless but unfortunately i got a Giratina in my party so that's way i didn't sign up .

I don't mind Freeze Clause because it's Official Nintendo Tournament rules. But I guess majority wins. For starters Freeze has a 5% chance of freezing two opponents Pokemon, when you do use it. And the risk of freezing another Opponents Pokemon is up to the user.

Wobbuffet is insanely good by the way, and Articuno with mind Reader + Sheer Cold OHKO's anything.

I haven't banned any FEARs as they are quite easy to counter. But I will look down on anyone using FEARs on me. It's just cheap.

Freezing two opponents is actually a 1% chance:
10% to get one opponent. 10% of that 10% to get another:

100/10 = 10. 10/10 = 1.

FEAR Rattata is vastly inferior to FEAR Phanphy. Kanghashkhan works well too if it you're up against something really powerful (Scrappy endeavour for the win) Oh, and btw, wifi on pokemon is completely down at the moment.

The chances of an ice move Freezing does'nt decrease, it's still 10%. If you flip a coin one hundred times and get heads every one of those, you still have a 50% chance of getting tails next flip.

But getting two freezes in a row IS 1% chance. On average, you'll need twenty moves to freeze twice, which I'm assuming is how Mavericks got that 5%...
